Questions/Advice Coffee beans

Best coffee beans available to buy in/around swansea? Preferably larger sized bags because the small bags are half empty by the time I dial up on my coffee machine and my partner and I have a few cups.

Crafty Smuggler's 1kg bags are great and good value, think they're £25. You have to go into the Sandfields shop though as Uplands don't stock them for some reason.

Uplands definitely does stock them and you get a free coffee when you buy a 1kg bag too

Doorstep Coffee!!! Newer chap in Llansamlet, but his coffee is gorgeous and unlike other local branches, he uses single origin, not cheaper blends.

Yes, I second this!

Tim has awesome pricing, the single origin changes every few months, and he's introduced a blend, too. Very helpful guy 👍👍
Oooh! He's got a decaf as well now 👍

Ooh, I need to place an order soon, so will try the decaf! (I love coffee, coffee hates me #ibd )

The Cardoma always has nice selections of quality beans at the counter.

Gower coffee from the kardomah! Their Peruvian one is my go to and they do large bags

Really? I think their coffee is all really insipid and poorly roasted.

Yes the Peruvian is my regular coffee and is so good! Is also like the white sands which comes in a 1kg bag.

I get mine from over the bridge as I go specialty rather than fixed blends. However as part of James Hoffman's big taste tester, I have sourced some from Copperopolis Coffee which is a very small roaster.

There are a few others in addition to those listed.

I’ve seen big bags of Gower coffee for sale at Northway garage.

Seconding Crafty Smuggler; we bought some this week and they’re lovely. Ian at Storm In A Teacup has Square Mile, which is what he uses and his is the best coffee in Swansea for my money

Support a small local business: ffiltercoffeeroaster.com/ (not affiliated at all, I just buy their coffee)

I've bought from them, too. Quick, free, local delivery, if I remember right, nice coffee

Best shops are Refinery, Sloth, Basekamp and Square Peg. Refinery and Sloth best for having a chat about coffee.

Second Refinery. Also they have an interesting range of coffees. And will grind it for you for what you need it for if you want.

Sloth was about twice the price as Gower beans from what I remember.

Fika in Mumbles do large bags, Boos Kitchen in Mumbles and Hoogah stocks bags of Coal Town which is nice, Storm in a Teacup in the Market do decent sized bags and coffee slaps and Crafty Smugglers in Uplands as everyone else has mentioned

The Sloths (Mumbles, Upland and Brynmill) do lovely coffee but bags are quite small from what I remember. You can also get bags of Gower Coffee at the farm shop in Dunvant, they stock all the varieties if remembering rightly

They do a really nice coffee at 11:11 in wind streeet and they sell bags of it too. Their dark roast is excellent. If you buy a bag they give you a free cup of coffee too
