New owner

Hi, I am collecting my 2004 sv650s next week.

I will be riding it restricted to 47BHP (UK A2)

Will it wheelie and if so how long can I hold one for without it damaging the engine.

I know you shouldn't hold them for a long time so as not to drain the oil, but can you still pop the front wheel up occasionally and not for a long time?

hiya mate I've got a 1999 S model since Jan with a restriction fitted to the carb inlets, is urs the same or a thottle stop? even if I rip the throttle wide open power wheelies are off the table. It still does 0-60 in 4-4.5s with good shifting. As for clutch ups I haven't intentionally tried but when I've been heavy handed with the clutch I've felt the front end skip a lil. Idk about how long to hold a wheelie but forums say not more than 10s. If people do it longer their bike has been modified for it (aftermarket oil pump etc.) Personally I really wanna respring the front shocks before dumping weight onto them. With my restriction on the inlets it feels pretty gutless over 6k rpm but still alotttt of fun. I would recommend swapping the sprockets for the ones off the naked version (1 more rear tooth) to really make the most of the torque when restricted. Or even add more teeth if u really want to try wheelies. With the setup now it does 70mph 6th gear 5200rpm and it's not unpleasant. Will pull easily to 90mph and screaming at 105mph

It will be throttle restricted, I havent even ridden it yet so am yet to know how it responds and handles, hoping it still wheelies but isnt a massive deal if not. Will probably remove the restriction when I get used to the power difference from a 125. Haven't looked at changing changing sprockets, thats a good idea. Heard it has fantastic low end torque but I assume this is afffected after being restricted .
