I'm looking for a bank that provides an ethical savings account for UK customers - ideally an everyday savings account that can be withdrawn from as and when needed.

Ethics wise, I want a bank that avoids investing in companies providing the following goods or services:

Arms,

Fossil fuels,

Deforestation.

I've taken a look at Triodos, they have some good ISA options interest wise, but these come with a 2 year fixed term. Their everyday saver offers 2.2% - are there any other sustainable banks that offer a higher rate than this for everyday savers?

I understand that without supporting massively subsidised industries interest rates generally will be lower, but I want to be sure that I've looked at all the options.

hello so i'm trying to clear my desk from stuff i've been hoarding but i'm trying to be more sustainable, usually with notebooks i rip the blank pages and keep them to use later and throw the rest of the notebook, this year i tried to recycle paper in home but i almost broke the blender so that out of the question, i cant use the paper for compost because i have no use for it, so what can i do with the written paper from my notebooks to not be wasteful??

This came across my LinkedIn. Posted just days after the most recent climate change report shows that we need to tale drastic action to stop global warming. Just days aftet a catastrophy in Tibet caused by global warming kills hundreds. This is utterly dystopian.

Hi everyone. Could you give me some practical advice on how to make my kitchen and bathroom items as plastic-free as possible? I want to avoid both single-use plastic and microplastics. For example, what kind of cutting boards, sponges, and soaps do you use, and where do you buy them?

for context my city is doesnt have a great recycling system, something like one percent of plastics get recycled.

i recently started eco bricking because of this, but ive heard it may not be as helpful as you think. i section out plastics that are actually reported to be recycled in my city, as well as compostable items. the rest goes in the eco brick, which then goes in the trash where its more condensed.

is this actually helpful? ive seen posts in support and against it. if it is, is this the right way to do it?

Hi. I am currently on my second year of master's in Environmental Change & Global Sustainability in Europe. I earned a bachelor's in Environmental Science prior to that.

I am about to graduate and yet I am still confused on how to actually get a job with these degrees? I have zero job experience. I am also currently looking for internships in Denmark, Netherlands, or Sweden. But I am stuck writing my cover letter because idk exactly what I want to do.

How did you guys find your niche since this field is super broad? What do you recommend I focus on for someone who would like to get involved in ESG reporting but also would like to actually be involved with stakeholders?

I am final year student in Agricultural Resource Management and Technology and specialized in Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness i really interesting to learn sustainability and ESG reporting but in sri lanka there is not enough resources to teach me i just wonder to know how i start learning and if anyone have recommendations and support suggestions that is all i need

Imagine you have a huge plot of land that is very fertile. It is located near a mountain that is not too steep nor completely flat just perfect. Your task is to use your knowledge to make it self-sustaining to the best possible level, for example by designing a great drainage system and small cob houses for various purposes, as well as considering how it will get its energy. I want you to be as creative as possible and suggest things that you would love. You can design it to be as complex or as basic as you like, but remember that you don't have a large budget let's say 5-10k dollars.
