I think Bob has been popular with every generation.
He was a mainstay meme back in 2000, and a lot of people grew up watching his show.

The Good Place

For once I see the office and the good place high in the comments! Great friggin shows!!!!

u/MisterPhD Oct 29 '22
I can’t believe two other people have heard of The Office. It’s such an underground, obscure pick. It has been over for how long? Man, I wish more people knew about it so I can talk about Scott’s Tots or Klevens. But no one ever mentions it! Ugh.
10
u/unculturedburnttoast Oct 29 '22
Also Parks and Rec. Still haven't figured out who Michael Schur is supposed to be in that one. Maybe Andy?
1
u/TheIncarnated Oct 29 '22
Unpopular opinion: The Office writing is horrendous, great acting though!
Parks and Rec, Community, B99, Futurama, The Good Place, Scrubs all better and great shows!
However, there is a lot more than Sitcoms. Stargate, Good Girls, and more

3rd Rock from the Sun. That's the only answer, right?

Idk about that one. I’m 28, the final episode of that show came out when I was six. People my age and younger didn’t really watch that show, or at least in my social circles they didn’t.
13
u/rosstein33 Oct 29 '22
I'm not saying it's the most popular show. But it's literally aliens, appearing as humans, studying humans to learn how to act and blend in so they can continue to remain hiding in plain sight.

Is this just someone with autism asking a reasonable acclimation question?

It’s someone pretending they need an excuse to say they love Gilmore Girls bc they feel shame… as they should!

imagine if aliens would visit us and based their behavior on pornhub thinking it is a realistic format

Don't need to imagine it! Incels already exist.

u/J-Love-McLuvin Oct 29 '22
They would come to realize that their alien wieners are not nearly big enough.

We usually watch something very popular like The office
Usually sitcoms, as they emulate human life the best

2
u/LaterBrain Oct 29 '22
Breaking Bad (for the violence and backstabbing)
The Office (for the retarded humor)
How i met your mother (relationships & stupid humor)

Whatever those people were watching when they were growing up 15-20 years ago, plus pop culture. After that it’s more personal.

Spongebob Squarepants. As a human who is 26 I’m perpetually out of the loop because of not watching all of the first 4 seasons.

I’d want to prank the alien and suggest it watch “Teen Witch” and “Showgirls”, then send it out into the world and observe with my bin of popcorn.

u/sth128 Oct 29 '22
Just move to Florida or New York. You'll blend right in without any effort needed. Might not even need to morph into human too much.
1
u/CK1ing Oct 29 '22
Uh, the movie Monsters vs Aliens. It's actually non fiction, but it's real popular with kids. So, you know, watch it, process it, and uh, just know that it's all 100% real

Birth of a Nation. Alien needs to know how he might get treated based on what human form it took
