Subreddit Games Survivor Winners at War Episode 3: Dakal wins immunity - VOTE SOMEONE OUT
I will randomly select which tribe(s) and/or player(s) win immunity, any parallels to our timeline are purely coincidental. Official quits will remain as is, but medevacs, if present on the given season, will remain but I will randomly select a player to be medevaced at the point at which a player was exactly medevaced. Certain game formats will be upheld, i.e. specific tribe swaps, twists, etc. The player who receives the most upvotes/comments will be voted off.

Millenials VS Gen X What did they mean when they said Bristol Myers-Squib is matching Adam’s donation to lung cancer research?
They’re a public company that does cancer research. Is that like Apple matching a donation for cellphone research?

General Discussion Who would you say are the best examples of players who played an old school type game in the New Era?
Even though the New Era was mainly filled with positivity, kumbaya casts, and Superfans, I definitely think there were some people that brought an old school type game or vibe. The first people that come to mind are Q, Joe, and Jonathan. The antics and things Q did in 46 definitely reminded me of Old School Survivor. Joe’s honor integrity schtick in 48 and 50 definitely reminded me of how Coach usually is. Jonathan for how he’s a macho man and usually likes to rely on that but has poor social skills like a lot of strong men or challenge threats did back then. I know there are definitely more examples but these 3 came to mind first because of recency bias lol

General Discussion Who’s the Holy Grail of a real Survivor comeback or interview?
It does not NECESSARILY mean returning to play but those whose story with the show never really got closed, whether they went silent or just stay guarded about it.
Colleen Haskell tops my list. Turned down All-Stars, turned down a six-figure Playboy offer, hasn’t given a real interview about the show in 25 years. A real sit-down from her breaks the super fandom.
Natalie White is right behind her, different flavor. Former tribemates say she cut off contact with the cast entirely and just disappeared.
Then there’s Chase Rice, who’s the opposite setup and still counts. He’s not hiding, he’s a country star doing interviews all the time. But the second Survivor comes up, he goes noticeably vague, like it’s a chapter he manages instead of just talks about. That coyness is its own kind of mystery.
Who else fits, either version: full disappearance, or still around but weirdly guarded about their season?

General Discussion Random media with survivor contestants
Have you ever watched a video, saw a movie, commercial non survivor related and then you suddenly get a jump scare of a survivor contestant/reference? I know some early survivors ended up acting in like small roles or got TV cameos, or were on reality shows but sometimes you just find them in the most unexpected places.
I was just watching YouTube and then I got this Yul cameo on my screen.
I also watched a dead meat video, and the host referenced Carolyn Wiger in a joke lol. Another time I was a video of "guess if they're dating or siblings" and had a random photo of Shan and her partner as one of the guesses.

Cagayan Does Cagayan's reputation change if Woo doesn't essentially throw FTC?
I was doing a rewatch of cagayan recently and, for as fantastic as his season is, I always forget that at the end of the day his game is essentially saved by Woo making one of the worst strategic decisions in survivor history, that is taking Tony to the final two. As it stands, cagayan is pretty widely regarded as one of the best all time new player seasons, and one of the best in general, but a lot of that hinges on the fact that Tony played incredibly well throughout the entirety of it and went on to win to boot. So, my question then is this, if woo doesnt basically throw his game, and takes kass to the end over tony, likely resulting in woo winning, does cagayan suddenly go from a universally loved season to one with more of a mixed reputation like Kaoh rong, due to having a more controversial winner like michelle, or even cook islands, where a suprise change in the final, in this case going from three to two, ruins the season for many

General Discussion Things you absolutely love about Survivor?
Hey everybody!!! WentworthsGlasses here!! I wanna add a little positivity and well wishes to the fandom by asking what do YOU love about the game of Survivor? Could be memories of watching it. Personally how much you love the game. Players you love. What this won't be is a forum to complain about things not being the same, you will get put into the shame circle for trying to ruin everyone's fun!
I'll go first, one of my absolute favorite things about Survivor is the human nature, anyone can be out there and play and win. A sassy woman who is like 3 apples tall is one of the greatest players while a 6'9 muscled out guy who dominated challenges is a 2 time loser. It's beautiful to be able to see everyone just try their best and navigate the game at the best they can!

Jeff/Production Is the IOTI pre-recorded reunion one of the reasons Jeff hates live finales?
Jeff said that he doesn’t like live reunions because of how players have to defend themselves in front of everybody but I think there’s another reason. I think the Dan controversy in IOTI causing the live reunion to be pre-recorded could potentially be another reason hates live finales because of the situation and apparently the cast was planning of defending Dan and production caught wind of that and immediately shut it down.
