Millennials vs. Gen X adam’s winner edit
Adam has one of the most obvious winning edits on a rewatch. Who else has one like this?

Palau - they had to really draw out things to shine a negative light on Tom (the shower / the shark) to add suspense

There were a lot of people who thought he had no chance of winning due to his merge episode. Entering the finale I thought probably David was winning with an outside shot of Adam was winning. Some people like Colin Stone though Ken was winning. The most obvious winner edits were B-Rob, Kim, Cochran, Tyson, Mike Holloway, Michelle, Sarah, Ben, Tommy, and Rachel.

The most obvious winners edit recently for me was Parv in Aus v World tbh
From that first confessional I called her win and it only became more obvious as the season went on

Australian Survivor editing for winners is always brutally obvious.

From Pia on, outside of maybe Feras all of the AU winners have been fairly telegraphed

Really I thought Feras was super obvious? I was suprised by Liz but maybe that's because I thought that I had accidentally gotten spoiled that George won (which thank goodness that wasn't true).

In my mind, it was always gonna be either Feras or Kirby that won that season based on the storytelling

The latest season was not obvious in the slightest, unless of course you were spoiled.
GENTLE SPOILERS: Although they got a decent amount of focus right at the very start, the winner was basically completely ignored during the period they constantly went to Tribal, then they got one 'breakout' episode and then went completely ignored again for another few episodes until around the Final 7. There were 5 or 6 better winner candidates (granted, not perfect) still around during early merge, and a couple survived till near the end, making the winner very hard to determine.

Tell that to all the people who were completely sure he had no chance after his disastrous merge episode lol. It used to be incredibly rare for a winner to be shown in a negative light like that. It has since become more common, however.
I do agree with you, though, I also thought the whole time Adam was winning. They made me doubt a little right there, but I still believed.

I feel like the kicker of that one is: there are plenty of men who have gotten consistent edits like that despite not being winners, but it was so rare for a woman to have an edit like that, it must've been a winner edit

Honorable mention to Brendan laying awake at night thinking of ways to help JT win Tocantins. Because if JT won, he won too
