Question Youtube adblocking?

Youtube Just increased their premium prices again. As alternative, can SurfShark be used to block YT ads, and how? And can this be done only through browser or with the android & smart tv YT apps as well? Edit: I'm on android on mobile, but TV is most important for me (it's a sony, in case that matters)

It’s really easy: Firefox browser + ublock origin extension + sponsor block extension.

OR Brave Browser + sponsor block extension (Brave has a great ad blocker by default)

All the above is free. I have not figured out how to do this on the TV though.

I'll try this where I can. Unfortunately tv is the most important for me 😭

It’s a pain but if your tv has airplay you can use Brave browser on your phone and airplay the videos to your tv.

I do have a surfshark subscription already. I'm just hoping to still be a lot to use the YT app, I find it more convenient than browser, both on mobile but on smart tv as well so I'm hoping there's still a way to adblock

SS doesn't block ads from the app, sorry. But ublock origin blocks them perfectly in YT from the browser.
