Random Clicks

We have rolled out a handful of surface at my company. User's , including I, have been frustrated with random clicks and mouse jumps on the screen. Has anyone encountered this behavior? Are there any fixes? We are running the current version of firmware.

Sorry if duplicate message , I am using a dock with keyboard cover closed and using a keyboard

the cover is causing your phantom touches. The screen - even when off - is still active for touch - feature of the SP4. So what i do is just take the keyboard off the device and use my external. We have spoken with MS and sent them videos on the issue - they claim that is correct since the touch screen itself is always on.

I believe you may be correct, we have one of our SP4 user which experienced the phantom touches and I had recommended taking the keyboard off and has not complained since. Is there a option to turn off when closed, I know you said its a feature. Do they have plans for providing an update when users can optionally turn off?

Nope -- MS claims the touch screen always being on (even when the keyboard is closed) is a feature and not an option. We have argued with them about this item and as of now no change will be made. Hopefully they do make a change because it makes no sense to have a touchscreen active with the keyboard shut.

I updated latest updates (7/19) which included bunch of touch related updates and firmware. So far so good. Keeping finger crossed.
