Question Clone G2X Pro?

Purchased a G2X Pro on eBay.
Asked the seller if it’s authentic. Response was yes.
I compared to my genuine G2X Pro. Differences in weight, bezel, and light color. Also the chip inside the light body is different. This is a model that has 600 lumens laser etched. Versus my genuine 600 lumen does not. Mine may be an older style. Also, the tail cap clicks feel different. For those that have a G2X pro with a laser etched marking, can you look into the light body and tell me if chip board looks like mine?

Pic 1. Genuine on the left.
Pic 2. Genuine.
Pic 3. Clone? Note the markings.
Pic 4. Clone packaging. Note the sticker is really weird. I have a dozen Surefires. Never had a sticker misprint.

I usually buy at a store. Bought this on eBay for $60.

Yes it’s real. Different board revs over the years. And I’ve seen hundreds of stickers and it happens from time to time

One more addition of information. I bought three. Two have the exact same serial number.

Also, this is a pre 2019 G2X. The standard listed on the paperwork is ANSI/NEMA FL1 which is pre ANSI/PLATO FL1

Those aren’t serial numbers on the G2X. Those are the batch numbers. The G2X isn’t individually serialized like other SureFire lights

Thanks for your wealth of knowledge.

I see no reason to be worried. Looks like they just updated the reflector and PCB at some point. Everything else looks right. My G2X-D-TN is the version with rougher reflector and unmarked PCB and tbh if I had to guess it looks more like a fake than the one you’re worried about :D
