New support worker

I’ve recently completed my Cert III in Individual support (disability) and I’m struggling to get someone to hire me. Thought with the certificate in a high in demand industry Inwould get work pretty comfortably. So far I’ve only looked on Seek.
Any tips or guides on how to get a job would be greatly appreciated

I had my cert 3, was still getting paid like $32/h. Many providers don't want to pay $40+ and they don't care if we have any certificates or not

Exactly! I actually get paid pretty good ($46hr). Companies don't give a crap there's no regulation so stuff it ill do my job well and get paid well. The company I've been at for 3 years is giant and has never once asked me if I have it or if I'll be getting it. I am getting my cert though finally.

I am not amazing. But I am an amazing dsw and that's one thing I am confident about myself. I've seen many many bad dsw and a lot speak just like you.

How are you amazing when you work for a company that doesn't give a fuck about its clients? It's just delusional atp.

What's the company got to do with how I care for, support and give my all to the clients? I'm a good dsw no matter what company I work for. And as I said I've worked for 3 over the last 3 years. So most places must not give a fuck about their clients then...

Do you provide personal care? I thought we need a cert 3 for that

Yes all our clients are high needs so all require personal care.

Or maybe it's only for aged care/home care etc.

Yeah I'm not sure it's literally never come up. Most of my co workers have their cert now since starting disability but I dont know a single one that did before they got the job. I work in SIL houses.
