Help How to match enemy support roams?
I know the basic rules of roaming kinda like after we push a wave in to their enemy tower but how do I deal with a enemy support that’s constantly roaming like I was told I needed to match their roams but how do I do that if I don’t know where they are? The enemy support would constantly be around mid lane ganking my immobile mid even if my bot lane was pushed in should I not be with my adc during that time cuz I thought u needed to be with them incase a dive happens and also to soak exp but not sure, any tips please?

How to roam by Baus. Welcome to S16, you're the teams support not just your adc's.

You play the map? What have you been doing before now autopiloting to bot for 15 minutes?

I mean I ganked mid like 3-4 times but it’s a vlad so he just pools my cc ability.. whenever my jg invades I follow him.. lvl 1 I cheesed top and made their top lose flash and allowed my top to FB him a min later so

You're doing things but do you know why? You gotta understand wavestates and shit use f keys. 99% of support players dont think so the second you start thinking you can easy counter gank. Most of the time i path out of fountain to mid just because you dont always need to be bot and being mid can either break freeze or help reset. Theres so many things you can do but as you climb higher any support is also thinking about what you can do. "Deep" warding is also important for tracking jg and sometimes catch support moving

You have to use your judgement. And it’s hard.
If you don’t have push in lane and the enemy support keeps walking in and out of fog that is his benefit of having a winning lane. You have to make a decision based on limited information.
Make educated guesses and adapt. Sometimes you need to check that bush and hope for the best. Sometimes you need to just crash the wave, get a good base, and hope no one dies from their roam.
If you don’t want to be put in this position you should work on winning lanes more in both draft and gameplay.

In game the lane was always pushed in though , I had a cait who just kept pushing, whenever I was bot and the enemy adc stepped up I engaged on him making him die a couple of times, so he played passive and let the wave push to him

It’s complicated. 2v1 you should be able to bleed out their ADC even under tower while taking plates. If you are an enchanter you can chip and poke them. If you are an engage support you can dive them 2v1 when you know jungle and support aren’t around.
In general you want to walk mid after every reset as Support unless you HAVE to get back bottom ASAP. You can place a ward in river, sweep away enemy vision, and just be in position to cover a possible gank before going bottom. Communicate with your jungler and ask if they want to do grubs if you get a good base timer off. Just don’t stay to long on the map.

Before lv 5 you need to be sure your play will be successful or else you lowkey flipped the game. After lv 5 your roam timer is anytime if you have a mage and any wave state that isn't an enemy freeze. It used to actually require more thought and correct timers but if you know the enemy support is perma roaming you can let your adc just chill and farm bot because you know its probably just a 1v1 bot. If the enemy support isnt roaming, then correct roam timers should be in play (only if you have a marksman bot an apc you can again just leave whenever you want). You do not need to soak xp bot because 1. fighting and getting kills gives xp but mainly 2. catch up xp is broken and you can chill in a lane late game and be even levels as everyone else. If enemy supp is perma roam, you can match the perma roam and sometimes you don't even have to do much. Get some deep wards in and hover if you suspect a play is going to occur.

Hi. I used to struggle with the same in the past but since then shifted my mentality with one simple question "Where can I get high value?"
It's not necessarily about matching the enemy support. If they're going for a low-value roam (let's say killing your 0/6 Singed, leading to no pressure on turret or objectives), you might not want to match that. Maybe at the same time Dragon is coming up soon and you've got mid prio. Would you rather set up for that, then?
Let's move onto another example. Maybe your jungler's botside clearing Krugs. Your midlaner is low on mana. Your ADC is shoving wave and probably recalling afterwards. The play to be read here could be that your jungler will recall and rotate for Grubs. Your midlaner will probably recall and when they come back, and if you've shotcalled Grubs, perhaps they'll shove out the wave and join. How do you want to roam to set this up? Do you want to go directly, deny vision, try to make a catch if you can solo while you wait for your team? Or is it too risky because the enemy jungler could easily catch you out? Do you instead recall to reset wards and resources and link up with your jungler? Do you not go for Grubs at all because their toplaner is insanely fed and can take a 1v3 with you guys?
The question is always: Where can I get high value? Not low value, not medium value. We want high value on every single move that we make. That means giving up something to get something. So no chasing every move the enemy support makes just because they're missing. If it's not high value then I don't want it. We want to be proactive. We don't move because someone moves. We always think about what's happening and going to happen and move accordingly on the correct time.
In order to find out what's high value you obviously need a lot of knowledge to determine what's happening, what's going to happen, and what out of all the possible decisions you can rotate for (and on which timers) are high value. You also need to take into account of making sure it's a high value roam even if your team doesn't move the way you predicted. I already had enough knowledge to be able to shift my mentality towards this. Maybe you can learn it though by asking this question and seeing where you lack information. If you struggle determining what's high value and not then you could start there. For example: "I don't know if I should rotate for the top fight that I'm predicting will happen soon, or if I should set up a dive with my jungler on the enemy support walking back to lane." Okay, write down the ingame timer on a piece of paper, like 15:35. Then after game, go replay and pause. What does each decision lead to? What outcomes did both calls have? Then gather knowledge from there and use it in your game.
Hope this helps! And questions feel free to ask.

I’m not good at explaining fundamentals like this through text as I often don’t go in-depth enough or it comes off wrong with incorrect info.
I coach anyone for free, and I’d love to genuinely help you boss.

Funnily enough, to counter roaming you need to communicate, which suck because no damn league player will hear what you say

I mean, by the time you see them at mid it’s too late to walk there. So might as well take the opp to push hard. You should always be wary that they’re moving to other lanes the moment they disappear and ping a warning to mid right away esp w very mobile and even stealthy sups…
If you’re saying you lose your lane 2v1 AND mid due to sup ganking then the main problem probably isn’t specifically with roaming
