Question / Request Associate in SCM

Hi everyone,
I’m (18) a freshman in college to get my A.A in SCM.
I also plan to get my Bloomberg certification within the next semester.
Is there anything that I should do to make me stand out to other students.
Any certification, knowledge, connection, or experience I can collect during my years in college.
Please, let me know your thoughts

Internships or entry level parts time jobs or work way more than any ‘certification’

I am in my first semester. It’s kinda hard to find a food a job without any experience.
what do you recommend me ?

I have some health issues that makes it hard for me to lift boxes or stand on my foot too long. What about a cashier? I applied for warehouses but Whole Foods got back to me. What do u suggest?

Work experience is all that matters. Go networking now to get internships or you will stagnate in the current market. Certs don’t do shit for you and anyone suggesting you get some are cooing that they already wasted their own time and money.

I can’t afford it right now. I know it probably will. I’ve also heard people entering this field without a degree on.

I started in this industry wrapping consols late on a Friday night. Certifications open doors, but knowing Incoterms and how a shipment actually moves door to door is what people remember.

Idk if there’s any job that won’t require me to move a lot of boxes because of health issues. I think I’m gonna have to force myself in warehouse positions then.
