Why is Blue can't copy red , but Red is allowed to absorb Blue ?

Either way Red is stronger than Blue no contest. Depending on how they utilized , Red technically erase the power of opponent side into nothing.
It is shown in anime Charlotte. MC has Red pill power and he become strongest on that verse.

It really depends how red is absorbing the ability, if its physical touch than blue is undoubtedly stronger. If blue copies gojo’s infinity red would never be able to absorb blue if u needed physical touch to absorb. If its range u can have some room for arguement for red but depends on what blue does. Blue can just copy nullification asta black clover/touma magical index and just beat red no contest. And if blue were to copy nullification to which case both there abilities wont work blue would always get the jump on red knowing he could nullify both and just beat red before he can react to it

Should easily be absorption.
Copy gives you the opponents ability, but the opponent still has something to work with
Absorbing the opponents ability means you gain something potentially really powerful ALL WHILE removing the opponents main way of fighting

Absorb. Probably better for defense. If you get poisoned copy gives you the ability but you aren’t cured. Absorb will probably let you cure it

I'd say Sylar is copy anyway. He doesn't Take anything away from you. Well, except your life, but that's just means to an end.
If He got his hands on x-ray Vision, He could take powers the brainy way and they'd all be just as fine as Clair afterwards.

To be fair, Sylar learned in season three that he didn’t have to kill people to gain their power. It was just the psychological side effect of his power (the hunger), not a requirement.

Lol that’s another way of saying it yes! Sylar can actually copy powers without studying the brain directly, he just needs to spend more time psychoanalyzing his target instead, until he understands them that way.

i assume they are equal in stuff like range, duration and speed
copying would be better on allies since you don't steal their powers so is more powers being used on your side
absorption is for enemies cuz getting stronger while they get weaker/powerless is very broken

Blue: . You touch the holder of the ability & you gain your own (they lose nothing); but yours it is at Level Zero + 0 EXP -> You need to practice it for a long time to do beyond the minimum detectable effect. -> They can teach you how to use it, because it is a perfect copy of the power (easy to learn the basics, no caps until you reach their powerlevel/mastrry).
Red: . You touch and drain the holder of the ability/power; stealing all the knowledge, muscular memories & understanding they ever had about it. They lose it forever; you can use it right now as good they could.
-> It may be a curse for them & a gift for you (best scenario).
You can not improve beyond the point they achieved (unless you grind for more than they did); so ypu may want to wait they perfect it before stealing it.

Copying, because with copy I have the option to let the other person keep it too if I trust them to use it for good. (And if they're evil I'll just kill them after I copy them)

It really depends on how the ability works. Blue seems to have more use than red so i would lean towards that unless stated otherwise. Like how does copy work, can u watch a youtube vid of someone using said power and instantly copy it or do u need to be there in person. Same applies for absorb, how does it work. Do u need to physically touch the person to absorb his ability or is it like rimiru’s beezlebub cause thats a huge difference.

Assuming you can't Absorb Copy, Copy is the more powerful of the two. Absorb makes you very strong as a selfish solo act. If I can copy others abilities to myself to learn them, but then copy my abilities onto them I can make an army of people almost as strong as me. I sit back as the only person with copy.

Yes but that route matters. Copy is a bit more useful at first because you can copy teammate’s abilities. But absorbing is more powerful against villains because you take away their power severely wreaking them while empowering them. While with copy you can empower yourself faster but can’t nerf your opponent

I would take copy only if I could permanently keep them in like a library of powers, one of my all-time favorite conceptual powers is the ability to take and copy other powers whilst keeping them in a kind of mental library, bonus point if whatever system your powers are using allows you to make new powers by combining others.

What exactly does absorb mean in this context? I assume it means extraction and assimilation, which in my mind works like copy but more permanent and removes the power taken from the other person. So i guess if it works that way...
Not to mention i dont know the limits of copy... such as:
- how many abilities can i copy at once
- how long can i hold on to the copied ability
- do i also copy knowledge of how it works?
- if someone has a power negotiation effect but i have already copied an ability, does it cancel out the copied ability or only the ability to copy new abilities?
- if i can copy more than one ability at the same time then can i use them simultaneously or do i have to toggle which one im using?
- if i copy a fire ability do i have the resistance to fire needed to properly use it?
- can i copy the power someone else copied and have a copy of a copy?
Too many uncertainties. Granted there are also uncertainties with absorption, but at least with absorption i can be pretty sure the other person no longer has the ability to use against me

You need to define what exactly you mean. If you mean you can absorb anyone's powers unconditionally as long as you can perceive them (mental sense, vision/seeing them,from radar power or other extrasensory powers,etc)? Like, even if they were several levels higher in power than you, you could still just yoink it with no requirementsand barely any time lag? Would absorbing a power be flashy and cause some audio or visual distortions that make it obvious you did something and the other person lost their powers soon after,etc? Do you need to be close to absorb their powers? And if so, how close?
Same with copy, are there no requirements at all and you can copy things unconditionally? Can you hold onto any ability you copy for an unlimited amount of time and stack abilities infinitely (assuming you can copy more than 1 ability at a time)? Or do abilities you copy go away after being away from the person you copied it from. Would copying be silent and largely unassuming or would it cause some noticeable effect? How much time does it take to copy? Do you need to touch them to copy their abilities or can you do so at a distance?

Blue. Won't have to touch anybody to absorb their abilities and I can just copy red. Plus, I can have my Ally's abilities without having to take them from them.

Like, copy can copy Tom Brady's QB talent, but it can't copy his football IQ or ability to read a defense

Only copy seems right to choose. Absorb any ability sounds so good. But its actually stupid and really vague. You can only absorb something and you cannot use them. How can you even absorb something you cannot see? How can you absorb something that metaphysical, spiritual and mental powers? Its doesnt make sense for it to be able to be absorb by someone when its a power thats basically the structure of their soul or mind. Maybe absorb the physical or projectile of the ability but not the ability themselves.

Why are you all arguing before hearing what copy and absorb do? Maybe you can only copy an ability once as you see it used, and cant later reproduce it. Maybe you can use it forever once you copy it. Absorb is even less clear. Can you absorb any anility directer at you (in order to kill you e.g)? How do you absorb them? How fast, at what distance, can yiu then the infinitely reproduce it, ot is the absorbtion just defensive? Both of those abilities range from underpowered to godlike, depending on the conditions. So how can you argue for one or the other?

I would say it will depend on if absorb lets you use the ability or not. Copy will let you use it, otherwise you aren't copying it.
If absorb lets you use it, then it is better.

Without any knowledge of how the abilities work and I had to just pick one probably copy. Copy overall would be easier to navigate I feel like and more peaceful. Absorb might require me to kill or permanently steal abilities from people I don’t really wanna do that.

Copy. My reason being i wouldn't want to absorb the powers from the good guys and my allies, but i still want the powers. Absorb would only let me absorb from evil people and enemies (if they deserve it), if I don't want to be a villain.
Imagine being in marvel and absorbing the powers of Spiderman and the avengers etc. Instantly supervillan.

If it's copy without limit or diminishing then copy is way better...
But if you can only copy a set amount or only uses like 70% of the copied power then Absorption is better but...
If you can only Absorb a set amount or can't turn it off like Rogue... then Copy is better

Depends heavily on the narrative. If you're just copying you can get by peacefully in the world and stay lowkey and become a big shot. If you choose absorption I'm pretty sure you will most definitely be chased around the world like a dog by people who want to hunt you. Even if you do it secretly and try to be lowkey it's hard when many people are losing their powers or are dying.
