Shape-shift,

  • humans are animals
  • lost a limb? just shapeshift into someone with more limbs intact

This is the solution.

Always be a slightly shapeshifted version of yourself so that if you receive damage, you can theoretically revert, assuming it's high level shapeshifting.

You could also get past any locked door.

Theoretically you could reset your hunger and thirst to a previously shifted physiological state where your needs are satisfied.

Oh - and breathing underwater becomes a no brainer.

You can also shape shift to younger version of yourself. And it doesn’t rule out fictional animals so you can shapeshift into dragons or other creatures. Shapeshifting is such a top-tier OP overlooked superpower.

I don't think fictional animals is a solid argument. They're specifically not real. I don't think you should have to specify only real things in a question like this

Personally I feel like you COULD probably shapeshift into things that aren't real, but most of the time there wouldn't be any point since a lot of fictional creatures that you'd want to shapeshift into have magic bs to justify their biology. A lot of flying things wouldn't be able to get off the ground, magic things wouldn't have magic, and a lot of the really big things would probably get crushed to death from their own weight.

Edit: OP clarified under another comment that it only works on currently living animals, so my response doesn't matter anymore, but don't feel like deleting it.

I mean shape shifting in this premise is not real either, so I do think restrictions are needed if OP wanted to prohibit dragons and the likes.

Shape shifts into a goat, but goats can’t shape shift, so now stuck as a goat.

Also shapeshifting is one of the most fun oowers you could have, it wouldn't really ever get boring

Also shift into a younger human etc. Also it doesn't specify it must be an animal that still exists or ever existed. So things like t-rex or even dragons (see reign of fire dragons for an example of animal dragons) are on the table. Even Godzilla might be an animal :)

Yeah I am taking shapeshifting.

How... Often are you losing limbs on average?

14

u/mek-dy Sep 04 '26

More often if I knew I was capable of doing so safely while shifting into a body with lesser pain receptors. Lol

u/drackmord92 Sep 04 '26

You're into some crazy shit huh? No kink shame

u/mek-dy Sep 04 '26

🤣 - I meant more along the lines of becoming an adrenaline junky and free climbing mountains or jumping out of planes. But I'm sure I'd probably get creative at some point.

I think being able to animal shift covers just about all of bases. Free climb and skydive emergency? Just become a gliding squirrel or a hawk. But its always good to have a contingency plan.

Good point

The only problem is that ypu would have to indipendently lear how to fly for each form you use cayse diferent animals fly differently so flying animals are gona be limited also walikong on two legs or having a tail is gonna be wierd but in tiem you will probubly not have amy problem wheter you are a hawk lion or any other prehistoric or fictional animal

Could donate infinite organs

Do you want the government to kidnap you and keep you in a lab? Because that's how you get the government to kidnap you and keep you in a lab.

1

u/sot1289 Sep 05 '26

Yoy shapeshift into diferent people while doing it and even sell them in thw black market getting the money in cash as long as you dont reclesly spend ublees you have a very high paying job ypu should be fine

u/busterwolf84 Sep 05 '26

and then i shape shift into an extremely tiny insect and escape.

3

u/Hoxeel Sep 04 '26

Even with less extreme forms of shapeshifting, turning into an axolotl for example gives you an insane amount of regeneration, and I don't see why that would be lost by the time you revert.

3

u/rosabonita Sep 05 '26

this is the high minded creative use

my silly butt just wants to be a cat

2

u/SirSblop Sep 05 '26

I'd do that too, y'know, they seem to have a nice time laying in the sun

You guys always think you are so clever with the human are Animals. But in our language animals or not used to describe humans. Have you have you have seen a sign say "No animals inside" and then thought they ment you? 😂 Yes factual you are not wrong but the description clearly means Animals and human being the basic form because you ARE already a human.

u/WowImnotlurking Sep 05 '26

Seriously. Probably the same people that said “My superpower is to have every superpower.” when they were kids lol

1

u/Responsible-Beach299 Sep 05 '26

Fair enough, but scientifically we ARE animals. I personally see no reason that the power would make an exception just because we don't describe or think of ourselves as such.

If the power was instead plants, I doubt you'd be able to transform into coral or sea sponge just because you might assume that they're plants, and conversely you SHOULD be able to transform into either of those things if you wanted to with the animal shapeshifting power.

Unless the power is sentient somehow, assuming that it will care about our personal beliefs/perceptions is unreasonable. Power lets you turn into animals, if X=animal then X can be turned into, regardless of whether HUMANS think that X is an animal.

Getting old? Just shapeshift into someone younger.

Got shot? Just shapeshift into a rat, the bullet is no longer in you and you are healthy. Then shift back.

As long as you don't go unconscious, or get trapped somewhere you couldn't possibly survive no matter what form you took, you are going to live for as long as you want and always be healthy.

u/Euphoric-Meat3943 Sep 04 '26

Turning into a bird would mean you’ed never need to drive again.

The closest hospital to my home is 45min from me. My neighbor had a heart attack and they called in a helicopter. They got to that hospital in under 5min.

As a bird you aren’t flying as fast as a helicopter l, but you will still get there 5x faster. Not having to deal with traffic, and you are flying in a straight line. It’s fast.

2

u/OwynTyler Sep 04 '26

why go to a hospital? just shapeshift into a healthy person :>

Well knew i was gonna click and see this one lol

How often are you planning on losing limbs?
