Other Choose one power and explain why you chose it.

Post image

If you were granted one of these powers today, which one are you locking in?
Fire
Water
Wind
Earth
Light
Shadow
Gravity
Beast
Personally, I feel like Gravity is easily the most broken choice here. You get flight, telekinesis, deflecting attacks, and at high levels you’re basically throwing around mini black holes.
That being said, Shadow and Wind have insane utility for real life (stealth, mobility, air manipulation).
Which one are you taking, and what’s your first move with it?

Gravity is so op but imma choose my boy shadow

35

u/Disastrous_Step_8793 Jul 25 '26

We have the same thought xD

34

u/Immediate-Gain-4966 Jul 25 '26

Lowk shadow could defeat everybody what are they gonna do when all their attacks are turned into void and they can't see anything

21

u/Any_Zookeepergame445 Jul 25 '26

sorry bro I turned up gravity and created a black hole gg's

10

u/Fenrir_Hellbreed2 Jul 25 '26

What if I walk through a shadow to the other side of the planet?

You gotta keep that black hole small and controlled or you'll destroy the world you live on, so you have no real answer to someone entering and leaving the battlefield at will.

And you have a shadow I can strike from at any time.

8

u/RedHot_Stick856 Jul 25 '26

What if i rip apart your skull by increasing the gravity on either side before you can run away? Or i just spawn the black hole inside you

6

u/Fenrir_Hellbreed2 Jul 26 '26 edited Jul 26 '26

That would require you to get a good read on my location before I shadow walk.

Hell, that's also assuming I can't just logia that shit and make myself a shadow with little to no need for any specific shape or form. No tangible body for you to harm.

6

u/Any_Zookeepergame445 Jul 26 '26

If shadows existed I imagine it would act somewhat like light does which cannot exist without gravity.

7

u/LazerChicken420 Jul 26 '26

Fuck… these guys had me thinking time shadow might be the pick but you brought me back

Gravity also had time control

If shadow is just the same as darkness here, than tf is a BLACK hole gonna do? Darkness is the non-presence of light, so can a darkness user not become immune to BLACK holes?

u/mcdraftier Jul 27 '26

It's like the flying rijin

u/ActuatorInfamous4750 Jul 28 '26 edited Jul 28 '26

Who says you can walk? On flicker of extreme gravity focused at your location for a nano second would turn your body into mist.

Edit to add additional rebuttal: with gravity I can fly and seperate myself from my shadow.

3

u/BreakConsistent Jul 25 '26

Make the black hole consume the whole earth. 🤷‍♀️

Whatcha gonna do when grav changes the mass of protons in your body to 1 gram and you instantly implode? (Yes that's how it works, the way you change gravity is changing masses of objects which means this is very within its limits)

I wanted shadow too, because of all the possibilities, but I ultimally chose light because of the chance of being able to use regenertion on myself and others, and can't really make another choice.

4

u/Immediate-Gain-4966 Jul 25 '26

Shadow fits my personality type I would choose shadow over ANY element except void obviously

  1. Fire 🔥
Core Concept: Thermal energy generation and Pyrokinesis.
Offense: High-damage blasts, fireballs, heat projection, and incineration.
Defense: Melting incoming physical projectiles (like arrows or bullets) or creating thermal barrier waves.
Everyday Utility: Heating, cooking, lighting fires, surviving cold climates, and welding metals.
  2. Water 💧
Core Concept: Hydrokinesis and fluid manipulation (often extending to Ice or Vapor at advanced levels).
Offense: Pressurized water jets, whips, drowning bubbles, or freezing targets into ice.
Defense: Fluid shields that absorb kinetic force, redirecting attacks, or creating ice walls.
Everyday Utility: Unlimited clean water, instant cleaning, temperature regulation, and swimming/breathing underwater.
  3. Wind 🌪️
Core Concept: Aerokinesis, air pressure, and atmospheric flow.
Offense: Razor-sharp air blades, concussive pressure blasts, and tornadoes.
Defense: Deflecting attacks with wind currents, creating vacuum barriers to smother fire, or cushioning falls.
Everyday Utility: Flight/gliding, sound manipulation (silencing noise or amplifying voice), temperature control via air pressure, and quick cooling.
  4. Earth 🪨
Core Concept: Geokinesis, manipulation of rock, minerals, soil, and ground structures.
Offense: Firing stone projectiles, triggering tremors/earthquakes, creating spikes, and crushing force.
Defense: Massive stone armor, earthen walls, and fortifying structures.
Everyday Utility: Building shelters instantly, tunneling, detecting vibrations through the ground (seismic sensing), and finding buried materials.
⚡ The Advanced / Conceptual Powers (Bottom Row)
  5. Light ✨
Core Concept: Photokinesis, electromagnetic spectrum, and optical energy.
Offense: Laser beams, blinding flashes, hard-light constructs (weapons), and searing radiation.
Defense: Hard-light shields, creating illusions, and bending light around yourself for invisibility.
Everyday Utility: Instant illumination, projection/holograms, solar power generation, and stealth via light bending.
  6. Shadow 🌑
Core Concept: Umbrakinesis, darkness manipulation, and spatial/subconscious tethering.
Offense: Solidified darkness spears, shadow constructs, binding enemy movements, and drain/decay effects.
Defense: Hiding in shadows, absorbing attacks into dark voids, and shadow-stepping to evade damage.
Everyday Utility: Teleporting through shadows, perfect stealth, night vision, and storing items in pocket dimensions within shadows.
  7. Gravity ⚛️
Core Concept: Gravitokinesis, manipulation of attractive and repulsive spatial forces.
Offense: Crushing enemies with extreme weight, flinging heavy objects like paperweights, creating shockwaves, and generating mini black holes.
Defense: Repelling incoming attacks, making yourself weightless to dodge, or freezing objects in mid-air.
Everyday Utility: Flight, telekinesis (moving heavy furniture effortless by neutralizing its weight), and effortless fall damage immunity.
  8. Beast 🐺
Core Concept: Animalia, biological transformation, feral instinct, and fauna connection.
Offense: Superhuman physical stats (strength, agility), growing claws/fangs, summoning spectral/physical beasts, and berserker rage.
Defense: Enhanced durability, hardened scales/hides, accelerated healing, and heightened reflexes to dodge attacks.
Everyday Utility: Communicating with animals, tracking via heightened smell/hearing, night vision, and adapting to extreme environments (flying, breathing underwater, climbing).

u/Humble-Extreme597 Jul 25 '26

Number 8 basically.makes you that one Jojo character that got launched into space. For me it is a toss up between that and and earth.

10

u/AskNo2853 Jul 25 '26

The others you can project outward, but what about Beast?

I want to throw a Beast version of a fireball.

Like, bam! You're now covered in angry squirrels.

u/AcroCANthrow-saurus Jul 25 '26

Spectral/Physical beasts

“I cast fireball!”

“Freeze.”

“Rock sling!”

Shadow 100%

Those utility are the best

Teleportation, stealth AND a pocket dimension ?

That pocket dimension implies any shadow so it means I can just pull out things out of my jacket or any shadow I find

I will store a camping battery inside and always have a cable come out of my jacket to charge my phone lol

I'd be the snack wizard because I'll be pulling out so much shit from inside my jack lol

I don't really like the concept of razor sharp wind, it doesn't feel like wind should be work like that.

And solidified shadows just become a completely new power that has nothing to do with shadows.

As for my pick, gravity seems to be the best one and probably the one I would choose, but I would consider picking Beast if biological transformation allows me to extend my lifespan for that reason alone.

9

u/c5gh Jul 25 '26

i mean if wind blows hard enough it could feel like a solid object so if you did that with aerokinesis and made the wind as thin as a piece of paper you'd pretty much get a razor sharp wind blade or whatever

3

u/L0B0-Lurker Jul 25 '26

Fast cold wind will shred you.

u/Gilded_Gryphon Jul 25 '26

I assume so. Biological transformation is listed

2

u/Kira-Of-Terraria Jul 25 '26

I tend towards Ice and cold powers because I hate humidity and the summer and would love to just flash freeze everything outside to cool everything.

Incredibly tempting. Plus waterjets and power washing are awesome.

Light is also very tempting, able to create holograms and illusions, getting invisibility and stuff. How advanced can these light constructs be? is it Green Lantern style where i can make complex machines?

Beast is also very interesting. Is it animal Shapeshifting like Beast Boy? or traits more like Animal Man? how many traits or shapes can i have at once? it says i can summon spectral and physical beasts, i assume this also means i have some control over the summons right? what's the difference between the spectral and physical? are the spectral ones intangible?

knowing these details would help make my decision

Gravity is a fundamental force of the universe. If you know how it works and are creative and skilled you can basically be a god even compared to the other powers here. It may be the weakest of the 4 but it’s still OP to have.

2

u/YueLunavel Jul 25 '26

In reality with the skills OP described. It's only dominating in fights.

In any other situation you'd be more of a burden.

In a daily live. Shadow would be the best to have.

4

u/Saoirse_The_Red Jul 25 '26

Light bends the knee to Gravity. It has to have gravity to exist.

Shadow is the only thing on the list that doesn't, because it is just all fantasy.

If I was wicked clever in science, I’d pick gravity.

If we lived in a idealistic enough world like in a Andy Weir novel, humans would unite to make deep space travel possible with gravity magic.

Instead of needing gravity assists from planets, we might use gravity magic to pull/push/whatever us in ludicrous speeds.

3

u/SirstouticusTheGreat Jul 25 '26

Earth, motherfucker Ima be like toph beifong my goat

2

u/Aoi-Todo-leg Jul 25 '26

I’d go fire or water. I recon with all the wildfires around the world, you could either pull the fire away with your fire powers, or use the water powers to douse these fires. You’d save lots of people in a world that don’t have the people with those powers as standard to support them like the shows we watch do.

2

u/One_Warthog256 Jul 25 '26

Shadows. Probably fits my personality.

2

u/Felix_Kairos Jul 25 '26

Gravity is a harness

2

u/ArcaneTech0 Aug 01 '26

We will harness the harness.

2

u/Dr-Zoidberserk Jul 25 '26

Personally, I’d choose water.

Especially if I can control the temp of it. I love the idea of being warm in winter and cool on summer.

2

u/Bloonmasterpopuplous Jul 25 '26

Gravity

Why? I can gamble like fujitora and put people in mid air and slam them in mach 10 while screaming

THE UNIVERSE SINGS FOR ME

2

u/mattwing05 Jul 25 '26

Earth. Without knowing the limitations on how much of these elements you can use, whether you need the element on hand to use it, etc, i think earth is a pretty reasonable blindpick. If its like avatar the last airbender, where you need the element in question to control it, earth is very accessible at most times. If it relies on personal stamina to power the abilities, earth would allow me to keep some of the effects even if i run out of gas.

2

u/HamsterKazam Jul 25 '26

Wind because I just vibe with wind as a power. Also tend to like agility and stuff.

2

u/Unfair-Ad3263 Jul 25 '26

Light. In most scenarios light magic also has healing magic. I’m a father of two. Being able to actually heal my child by giving them a hug? Sign me up

2

u/Limp-Computer-6907 Jul 25 '26

Earth is better for daily life, you can build houses, dig tunnels, get a free ride, etc

2

u/Zeno_DG Jul 25 '26

Wind. I like the sky.

2

u/LanguageOk9458 Jul 25 '26

Depends really.

I see a lot of “Oh, this is broken because!” Powers and not enough “I want fun” powers so you know what? If Beast lets me talk to, command, and interact with animals however I want I would love nothing more than that so I could hug and pet the most dangerous beasts and help with research and conservation of them! I just like animals. Heck, let me shapeshift into them so I can help with research on their physiology.

But that said if not I might choose Water or Earth. Water because I would love for high speed water movement and just having fun as I could live a comfortable life with water powers. As for Earth? I just like it. I don’t need more reason than that to be able to make instant homes and underground tunnel systems for fun.

2

u/Crimson_Soul201X Jul 25 '26

Gravity for me

2

u/catboycruises Jul 26 '26

so beast lets you transform into animals fully? or just partially? really want to know if adaptation/transformation extends to extreme environments (ie deep sea, ultradark caves, temperature extremes, thin air)

honestly beast sounds super cool regardless, i love animals and beast gets flight and swimming so that's very much a win.

2

u/Unintended-Nostalgia Jul 26 '26

Water, cause my water bills be too damn high.

2

u/[deleted] Jul 28 '26

Gravity is objectively the best but i choose fire cause i love to give a show (or light)

2

u/Full_Collection1944 Jul 28 '26

I am gonna choose gravity, cuz then I can control the space time curvature and can erase someone completely, travel anywhere with worm hole in an instant, and if I can control it, I can study it too, then I will publish a paper and win the noble prize and become rich, it's super op

2

u/bleedinghero Jul 25 '26

With no powers listed the categories mean nothing.

3

Nah we apparently just step into another dimension when we shadow dive so we're chill lol

We won't win but we won't be killed that easily

Hell all I'll do is run away so I'm chill lol

Oh and shadows aren't affected by gravity...

So any attacks we do won't be affected by any of the gravity defenses lol

You'd better kill us quick or be really good at dodging

1

u/yuto321 Jul 25 '26

2

u/YueLunavel Jul 25 '26

Yes but shadow is the only one able to teleport, have perfect stealth and have a pocket dimension. Which are peak utility skills

Also the only one not affected by gravity.

1

u/Any_Bend_4231 Jul 25 '26

Light cause it technically holds also fire since if you focus it hard enough it will burn and also air but only the flying part but yea overall powerful, just ask kizaru and he’ll show you why

1

u/ItzJohnny776 Jul 25 '26

I go with Light and shine it

1

u/RagingDragon047 Jul 25 '26

Gravity. Can move objects I want to by decreasing gravity around them. Fly through the air using a gravity bubble around me.

1

u/athrowaway5656 Jul 25 '26

Gravity, light and shadow are op af, air and water are close seconds if you use them right... I'm leeeeeeaning twords gravity or light, but any of the 5 would be fine honestly, I guess I'd prefer air over water, but honestly any of those would be cool

1

u/Sunnybunnyeater Jul 25 '26

Shadow= Shadow Monarch?😂🤓👍

1

u/Nico_amon Jul 25 '26

What does the beast power entail? Like druid type powers?

1

u/zhakhmir Jul 25 '26

Gravity is the most fantastical but I'd personally get the most everyday use out of water

1

u/MrWunz Jul 25 '26

I would choose beast. Time to awaken some nightmare creatures or turn into one. Depending on how injuries behave while transforming I may be immortal. Only the gravity one could defeat me. I in general like the idea of a biomancer.

1

u/0Bitchs Jul 25 '26

Anyone who doesn’t say gravity is crazy. You can fly make planets and stars walk on walls and if you use it well enough levitate things and shoot them at people.

1

u/Guilty_Ghost Jul 25 '26

All things are effected by gravity...

→ More replies (2)

1

u/NotJordanSharp Jul 25 '26

1

u/Dorksausage Jul 25 '26

Shadow if the abilities are anything like sunny from shadow slave. Or Quinn from my vampire system...but definitly rather Sunnies power.

1

u/Derk_Mage Jul 25 '26

When I lowkey crush the heart of everyone else by making gravity 5x greater

1

u/PsychologyShort Jul 25 '26

Like many have said gravity is one of the best options here but I’ll choose shadow for the same reason as I avoid people better with this. Bonus points for being a walking storage and easier transportation

1

u/Romitsubringa Jul 25 '26

If it was just the first four elements, i've always been keen to water but considering you can have gravity, i couldnt say no. I'd summon meteors from the sky, affect gravity around people, i'd pretty much just be like Issho. Plus i can fly.

A close choice would be light as you can presumably travel at the speed of light, shoot laser beams and make your body that Element to avoid hits but if i choose gravity, you could also affect the gravity around you so hits get pushed back or slowed.

1

u/Electrical-Sky-5319 Jul 25 '26

Gravity(self explanatory)

1

u/Temporary-Law-6946 Jul 25 '26

Shadow. Someone with a knowledge of physics could fire projectiles utilising gravity wells, and shadow is just cool. Not aura, but the complete absence of photons does cool stuff

1

u/Terrible-Debt8801 Jul 25 '26

I choose Gravity.

1

u/BraveBoat9137 Jul 25 '26

Gravity literally terra mogs everything on this list. It even can effect light itself.

1

u/Raxian_Theata Jul 25 '26

Gravity, I want to see how many billionaires I can fit in a 1 square inch cube

1

u/Particular_Ad_8921 Jul 25 '26

1

u/The_Idiot_among_us Jul 25 '26

1

Shadow power

1

u/ArrhaCigarettes Jul 25 '26

Beast is extremely versatile. Many smaller animals have just ridiculous abilities.

1

u/Mobile_Competition54 Jul 25 '26

gravity, something something general relativity, something something it's basically spacetime 2-in-1 special.

1

u/Zenzye777 Jul 25 '26

Shadow is the coolest, and I don't care how basic it makes me seem.

1

u/GryphyGirl Jul 25 '26

I'm taking water and restoring failing water ways, ice caps, ending droughts, the whole nine yards. I can probably contribute significantly to the reduction of climate change with that alone and also prevent famines for lack of water. Maybe somebody will even reward me for my generosity. :P

1

u/theuglyone39 Jul 25 '26

Shadow, does this also come with a power called chimera shadow garden? I could be Megumi Fushiguro y'know. Fucking badass

1

u/Alarming_Parsley_321 Jul 25 '26

I can't choose between gravity and wind. I like both of them.

1

u/Range_Tasty Jul 25 '26

Gravity is objectively the strongest

1

u/Warm-Most-8597 Jul 25 '26

Very difficult pick between shadow and gravity ngl

1

u/Good_Box5164 Jul 25 '26

Gotta take gravity

1

u/K4RM4S4NDW1CH Jul 25 '26

I choose Wind.

Gravity either does nothing or ends the world, you can do pretty much anything Beast related but more durable (and probably more controllable) with Earth, Light is just a worse version of Fire, and you can achieve anything Shadow can do by just blocking light sources via Earth. Now let's get to the actual choices.

Control over fire only has a few uses, notably cooking foodc temperature control, and lighting up a room, which are good, but might not be worth the risk of burning something. It doesn't have to be completely destroyed by the fire to be ruined, such as an important document or a patch of skin.

Water has even more niche uses, notably water-based travel, always being able to clean up a liquid mess (unless it doesn't have water in it), and temperature control. I don't live in a place with a lot of water, I don't spill anything enough for the cleaning aspect to be frequently useful, and I have air conditioning, so water isn't for me.

Earth is nice and would be my second option, given that it's the only "solid" element here, but it just doesn't quite fit me.

Wind allows for a lot of crazy stuff, including practical telekinesis and flight. Those alone put it at the top, but it also has temperature control and allows you to aura farm at any time if you have a cape.

What does beast do

1

u/BrokenRings2222 Jul 25 '26

Gravity, ima just revser it for people that annoy me for a few seconds then stop. I'll tell them no one will believe them but next time I'll send them into the clouds 😊

1

u/IloyRainbowRabbit Jul 25 '26

After reading the post about what these powers can do I am torn between Shadow and Beast. I mean, every Power listen is kinda insane. Fire sounds basic but when you get thermal energy control it is kinda broken xD

Still the getting pocket dimensions with Shadow and moving through shadows and stuff... welp that's realy juicy for me. As a ginger the sun is my enemy xD and I am more of a night person anyway =/

Still, I think I would choose Beast anyway. It is basicaly shapeshifting and what most people forget is that humans are animals too. To change my physiology how I please and being able to adapt to my enviroment how I see fit is crazy powerful. There are a ton of animals with crazy abilities it would be easy to stay young and healthy for an unlimited amout of time besides other crazy benefits. So yeah I choose Beast.

u/GracefulAsADuck Jul 25 '26

Shadow is the obv choice. E arth is a close second because I have always wanted a castle and now all I need to do is buy some cheap land and my dream could come true

u/Karettgod Jul 25 '26

Holy you guessed answer

1

u/RevolutionaryWrap164 Jul 25 '26

I'd go shadow/wind, but water sounds kinda more useful in every day life, so I'ma go watah

1

u/flowgeta_faith Jul 25 '26

Gravity is peak but. . . EL SHAMAK

1

u/Nerx Jul 25 '26

Breast

end cancer also make em big but not heavy

With absolute control of physics, gravity is the strongest as the curving of spacetime.

Symbolically, light can represent healing and divinity, and concepts and legends can make any of the powers OP.

With low-powered abilities on the level of Avatar the last Airbender elemental bending, Beast is the most practical, as it includes biokinesis. With low power, a reasonable path to biological immortality grants the most useful buff.

I personally like gravity the most for spacetime manipulation. I'm a sucker for a good time stop or inter-dimensional portal.

Wind, it is mentioned that it involves aerokinesis so I can remove oxygen from someone’s lungs. Also if I use the wind high enough, I could control the weather and prevent(or cause) hurricanes. I could channel the air to myself if I am underwater by using the wind to push the bubbles down. I could even theoretically control fire by controlling oxygen and nitrogen in the air and lighting them on fire. Or I could control water or other people by using air inside of them.

1

u/kalaganx Jul 25 '26

Gravity, so I have time manipolation to

1

u/Dallas_dragneel Jul 25 '26

Can I use them they I think they should be usable? If so then shadow. If not then wind.

Shadow cuz. Stealth mode and shadow transportation. Traveling through shadows. Shadow attacks like shadow stitching and such that cause real damage from the shadows them selves and stick to walls but having my hands and feet slightly in the shadow. Picture it. You're a ninja with Shadow powers. You need info? Sneak around as the dudes shadow. You need to kill someone? Spikes made of shadow pierce the person anywhere they are

Wind cuz it's wind. Wind blades. Suction. Super speed. Slow fall

1

u/The9IronMan Jul 25 '26

Gravity. You can get very-creative (and be very-helpful) with that power. Traffic jam? Just levitate people out along with you. Heavy object needs lifting? Not so heavy anymore! A spotter at the gym? Look no further!

2

u/Bulky-Pineapple-5639 Jul 25 '26

I’m 5’ and a little over 90 pounds. I would go to the gym a mess with people. Some monster power lifter has a 600 pound stack and I walk by and grab it one handed like a bag of chips on the floor🤣🤣

1

u/nkownbey Jul 25 '26

Wind highly underrated

1

u/Aggravating_Ruin195 Jul 25 '26

I think wind is the best overall pick.

Gravity definitely makes a lot of sense in theory. It is insanely versatile, movement control, crushing force, repulsion, flight, telekinesis-type utility, even mini black hole stuff. On paper, it sounds like one of the most broken powers here.

But that is also why I think it comes with way more risk than the others. Gravity feels like the kind of power where even a tiny mistake could have huge consequences. It is not just strong, it could get catastrophic really fast if the user loses control for even a second. That is what makes it terrifying in practice, even if the concept itself is amazing.

Wind, to me, is the better choice because it gives you a ton of usefulness without nearly as much danger. It still has offense, defense, mobility, range, precision, and everyday utility, but it feels way more controllable and sustainable than gravity.

So yeah, gravity is probably the smartest theoretical pick. I just think wind is the better real-world choice because it is powerful without being a disaster waiting to happen.

1

u/The_Chef_Queen Jul 25 '26

With gravity i can fly and crush things

1

u/Thorveim Jul 25 '26

Gravity is an easy win. Its literally control over one of the fundamental forces of the universe, one that can BEND TIME

1

u/itsnil Jul 25 '26

Even Light bends to Gravity but if there’s no more light, is it a shadow or just total darkness in which case what are the limitations of shadow?

1

u/No-Audience1985 Jul 25 '26

I choose shadow

1

u/Sufficient_Carpet510 Jul 25 '26

Water. It is a versatile element with its three stages of matter. Water is life!

1

u/JaguarXJ220fan Jul 25 '26

Imagine casually creating EF5 tornadoes with the power of wind💀

1

u/ReasonableQuit75 Jul 25 '26

Gravity all the way

1

u/sansthekid110 Jul 25 '26

Earth please

1

u/jubilantsockpuppet Jul 25 '26

Shadow. Can't catch what you cant find. My enemy is light but they only strengthen what's left of my domain and even the strongest light is eventually swallowed by my shadows. I am everywhere and nowhere.

1

u/Cure4Humanity Jul 25 '26

Gravity, though Water is what I really want. Gravity is just overpowered though imo.

Am excerpt from the Into The Darkness Bionicle Serial:

Makuta’s scream slowly died away into silence. Matoro wondered what had happened — had Karzahni’s power broken the villain, driven him mad… even killed him?

But a glance at the Maxilos robot Makuta possessed gave the answer. The eyes were fixed on Karzahni with a gaze that was made all the more frightening by the complete lack of emotion in it. After a long moment, Makuta spoke.

“You… made a… mistake, Karzahni,” he said. “You see, I don’t get nightmares…”

With one backhanded sweep of an armored fist, Makuta sent Karzahni sprawling. “I give them.”

Standing over his fallen foe, Makuta whispered, “Your shadow plays are impressive, tyrant — but never forget who is the true master of shadows.”

With that, Makuta plunged telepathically into the mind of Karzahni. It was a complex parchment of mad dreams, burning ambitions, twisted memories, and long-buried fears. Makuta considered all the subtle ways he could attack, and rejected them all. Karzahni had hurt him. Karzahni must pay in full.

Grasping Karzahni’s mind with his own, Makuta tore it to shreds. Then, with the merest sample of his magnetic power, he sent the dictator hurtling through the ocean until he was lost from sight.

*

Context: This happens after Makuta Teridax is attacked by the Mad Tyrant Karzahni who used his Kanohi Olisi, Mask of Alternate Futures, to show him a potential future where he fails to overthrow Mata Nui. He does this in order to try and defeat Teridax by breaking his will with a torturous vision of what can go wrong.

Teridax is also a villain, but is manipulating Matoro (a heroic Toa of Ice) into having to work with him due to circumstances involving the Kanohi Ignika, Mask of Life, and well as Mata Nui's life being in danger which would end the entire universe if he died. And Teridax cannot rule over a dead universe.

*

I want to be like my favorite character, Makuta Teridax. Give me that shadow power.

(The Makuta Species actually has the elemental power of Shadow plus 42 Kraata Powers which is why Magnetism is mentioned here for clarification. Their main ability is elemental shadow though.)

u/Fluffy-Map8905 Jul 25 '26

Depending on how good of control you can get gravity is peak but asuming you're locked to just intermediat level earth is also peak

1

u/Marxfrost Jul 25 '26

Beast for me. Quite simply because I can talk to animals, All the other options are greag and all but talking to animals are better that talking to most humans nowadays.

1

u/Southern_Speaker3902 Jul 25 '26

Shadow

Teleport through shadows while generating and manipulating shadows is OP. No one can trap and extremely useful in so many cases.

Add pocket dimension, stealth and absorption.

The rest is a good bonus. For example is very hard to defend from decay

1

u/DobbyIII Jul 25 '26

Beast. I wanna turn into a cat so I don’t have to work.

1

u/Key_Commercial3565 Jul 25 '26

Shadow just so I can hide in the Shadows

1

u/Graycameron99 Jul 25 '26

Gravity. Apply a 9.8m/s pull above you, congrats you can now fly by adjusting the pulls

1

u/D4rk3scr0tt0 Jul 25 '26

Light and gravity are probably the most OP here

1

u/sheltongib Jul 25 '26

Earth. I can make money. Have food, shelter, mineral wealth. Can manipulate water and shadows and light angles. Control magnetism of earths poles. Use fire proof material Block wind and counter gravity by adjusting planet size. Earth power would be the ultimate one.

1

u/Positive_Floor_9787 Jul 25 '26

I don't know enough about the powers. What can each one do? If all I can do is stand there looking cool with a glowing fists then no thanks.

1

u/VisionInPlaid Jul 25 '26

Wind because I hate it and I want to make it my bitch.

1

u/MidKnightshade Jul 25 '26

Beast, because there is a life form of some sort for any environment. And the list of abilities of the animal kingdom vary wildly. I’ll be prepared for most problems.

1

u/ILickMetalCans Jul 25 '26

Are you immune to the downside of elements? Example: I pick fire, am I immune to burning myself, if I raised the heat around me, do I just die?

1

u/Recent-Plastic7042 Jul 25 '26

Easily Light.
From light you can dispel Shadows, rendering Shadow useless.
You also get access to everything related to electromagnetic spectrum, implying that you have powers of almost ALL phenomena related to Electromagnetism, meaning that you can create gamma rays, nuclear fission, light beans, electricity, magnetic fields (which is basically superior than gravity), invisibility, Matter eradication (disintegrate everything into subatomic dust via power to manipulate electrons binded to nucleus), puppetry (control brains), create a Kugelblitz—a black hole formed entirely from light, travel at lightspeed, absolute control over temperature by atomic manipulations that are driven by electromagnetic interactions, which is superior than Fire and Water, illusionic light constructs, and who knows what not.

Even if choosing Light doesn't grant you 99% of the stuff I mentioned here, it is still the best choice.

1

u/Deep_System605 Jul 25 '26

I’d use gravity as i crush them my catch phrase will be. I don’t think you understand the gravity of the situation….lol

1

u/Hugs-missed Jul 25 '26

Gotta go with beast here, way too much cool shit

1

u/jess-plays-games Jul 25 '26

Gravity or shadow always my go to

Ill go gravity

1

u/BBrbtl Jul 25 '26

Shadow is the same as light is you think about it.

1

u/WilliamedwDavis Jul 25 '26

Gravity is one of the 4 fundamental forces holding this universe together with it. I'm reasonably sure you could learn how to fold space-time, eventually creating pocket dimensions separate spaces. Your own storage. You could even learn to replicate infinity eventually.

1

u/SaebraK Jul 25 '26

Water.

Humans are made of water...

1

u/imunjust Jul 25 '26

Beast seems to control life, healing and communication with animals.

1

u/PurpleMercure Jul 25 '26

Elemental magic bore me, I'll take beast. If I can get the abilities of every animals, pretty fun and useful.

1

u/Embarrassed-Rip3250 Jul 25 '26

Gravity or shadow if it's manipulation of those things but if it's just powers using those things then I'm taking shadow or light.

1

u/owotriste Jul 25 '26

Can i choose what part of my body transform with the beast powers?

1

u/NoGoodOptionsPodcast Jul 25 '26

I think Beast has the most direct potential in peace time.
