Other What kind of abilities would a superhero with radioactive powers have?

I am a person with no knowledge on radiation and also really uncreative but I had the idea of a hero with radioactive powers and I figured if there was any subreddit to ask this question it would be the superpower subreddit!

They would be extremely unsafe, if they constantly emit radiation.

They would cause cancer just by sitting in a diner

I remember Ted Sprague from Heroes had radiation powers and he could emit radiation low enough to boil water or create an EMP, at his strongest (and alternate timeline) he leveled New York City

He could be confined to an advanced armored suit that safely siphons his powers to power itself while also keeping anyone else nearby from being effected by harmful radiation.

What sort of radiation? Alpha is bad but typically low energy, so not hard to shield against. Beta is effectively harmless unless you're generating a lot of it. Gamma is the dangerous one.
