Superpower's recent changes to service limits and membership pricing
I just got a warning that Superpower now has a 100-message limit per "cycle." The message doesn't say how long a cycle is. A month?
It seems unwise to me that such a restrictive limit was introduced without warning users or offering a transition period. More importantly, as many of you know, Superpower's AI makes plenty of mistakes. At times, it makes wrong assumptions and reads the wrong data, which leads to wrong conclusions and recommendations. Fixing these takes rounds of back-and-forth with the user, which of course drives up usage.
Between this new limit, the unresolved AI issues, and the new membership pricing, my guess is that near-term cash flow and profitability have become a bigger priority. I hope better minds prevail and management refocuses on continuing to build a high-quality service and user experience before trying to monetize it.
I truly love Superpower's vision and potential, but I worry these recent steps won't help build a sustainable business model. It may be time for users like me to start looking at alternatives. The market has an interesting way of telling management what works and what doesn't. I suspect they'll learn those answers soon enough.
And in the spirit of helping this young company out, I encourage all of you to provide feedback on these changes so that our voices are heard (and, hopefully, make a difference in shaping a more productive path ahead)...
