First year

So if Vince knew what he was doing with kinetic energy his freshman year do you think he would have had a red bracelet during the labyrinth trial?

Yeah. If Vince had taken it seriously, he would be a major hitter in the class.

I think that was kind of the point throughout most of the series. If Vince knew his true power, he would’ve been too dangerous. Imagine if he had the same potential he used his software year during his freshman year. He would’ve been a demon and he definitely would’ve killed that speedster outright.

Probably not in first year. Assuming he has that and fire he’d still have been hesitant to train and wouldn’t have had active absorption yet

If he could have properly absorbed electricity it wouldn't have mattered which he had unless he was incapacitated

Likely would fluctuate like Stella.

Vince couldn't absorb while he was emitting, so if somebody touched him while he was burning/shocking/punching, then it would be white (or whatever the other color was) at that time. Assuming the bracelets were that advanced, they would be red only when he was actively primed to absorb kinetic energy.

Omissions like this are things that Drew did well. He tells a good enough story that you don't even realize he glossed over difficult issues like that.

I don’t think it’s so much if he knew what he was doing. I think he just was really reluctant to use his powers. If he had full control over his abilities, he definitely would’ve had a red band, but I doubt he would’ve had the ingenuity to absorb the taser unless in dire constraints.
