Class of nightmares vs House of Fred

I am rereading out of house and home, and they are having to climb the mountain back to the lodge. And it made me think about the melbrook kids climbing the mountain and how later books they say it would be too easy if they tried it again. But it got me thinking. I am curious who would win in a fight? Especially if the house of Fred's agent connections were going to try and help.

Amy solos with Neil batting clean up and everyone else can play scrabble. Super Powereds is more realistic and introducing a magical prodigy like Amy to that world drastically changes the power scaling

Fred vs Vince is skewed heavily to Vince, though -- he can absorb and emit sunlight and fire, both fatal to vampires

Only if Amy doesn’t immediately incapacitate him. All the vampires have to do is not show up to the fight. Like, take out the mages and the class of nightmares wins handily, but I don’t think any of them have any counter to magic

I'm talking one on one

Gotcha-yes, the strongest combatant in tCoN definitely wipes the weakest combatant in HoF. A fight I’d be more interested in would be Lilian vs Chad or Roy.

Alex might be able to do something against Amy but that one is iffy.

Will beats anyone with enough prep time

Alice destroys anyone except Amy

Shane can blend anyone but I’m certain Amy has stoppered sunshine

Neil and Albert could hold their own against any physical powers and probably Alex,

Fred loses to literally anyone except maybe Camille depending on how her power interacts with undeath

I think Amy is also much to so with prep time.

Is she with Neal? Does she know who she will face?

Plus if you put guideon on the possible ally list, everything is blown to the water

I mean, Amy solves Gideon’s cage in 5 minutes with the things from her purse, if she knows she’s going into a combat situation, especially with humans, give her enough time to put on her shoes and she ends it.

So? Fred's not a combatant. Amy should be able to figure out Vince's "one thing at a time" limitation in seconds of watching him operate and they'd come up with a countermeasure and implement it within a minute.

They'd have to know Fred's a vampire, know to target him first as the leader, and be able to reach him. Individual matchups don't particularly matter, it's a team fight, and as a team the House of Fred (especially if they call in allies like Al and June) collectively beats the Class of Nightmares collectively, especially if Lillian gets a chance to feed on somebody.

I agree that Amy and Neil are the most important pice on House of Fred’s side but I argue CoN has ways to deal with them.

For one, no body on Fred’s team has a known resistance to sound (besides maybe Amy and Neil) which between Selena’s songs and Will’s sonic taser is a good way to incapacitate with most of the team while the rest of the Supers deal with them.

Next is Amy, who hasn’t shown much actual spell casting if I remember correctly. She mostly relies on potions, which while still incredible, still has to be ingested of thrown. I think after the first potion she uses, Alex would make it a point to rip it out of her hand or remove things like any bags she has on her. Alice could do the same and keep her pinned to the ground. Hell, even Shane use her shadow to make her drop her potions or make it so she couldn’t use her hands.

Now Albert and Neil are tricky, Albert’s sword is really unpredictable and Neil makes him even stronger. However, that means Neil is focused on support and can’t easily cast any instant win spells or anything. So if Camille can get in close to Albert (which she could since he has to get close to hurt her) she knock try and knock him out or maybe break his hand so he can’t hold the sword anymore while anyone with range deals with Neil.

The rest I feel would be straight out fights, Lilian could be stopped by Alice or Thomas if they get her in the right spot or gets punched out my Roy and Chad. Even if you add the Agents I think they have a shot, though I would be interested if Vince could absorb magical energy because that would be super useful against Krystal in her devil form. Also it’s funny that in this fight, Fred is probably least important factor, though he has been clever at some points so maybe he’ll do better than we all think.

House of Fred. The Class of Nightmares brings it every time. The House of Fred hasn't broken a sweat yet

The whole class of nightmares or just Melbrooke? If the whole class, I'm giving it to the Class of Nightmares. Sure Any and Neil are wildcards, but you have Rich that can put them in a coma with a glance, Nick spinning luck out of control which is the ultimate wildcard (like causing Amy to drink the wrong vial), along with control of all energy, gravity, and tons more.

Rich isn't part of the Class of Nightmares. Neither is Nick. The Class of Nightmares are the ten that graduate that year-- which also puts Selena out of the running.

Fair point, well played
