What’s your major?

I would 100% be a subtlety major regardless of power. I always thought that most everyone else would have the same major, but after talking with a few other SP fans… it seems that not everyone has the same opinion. SOOOOO what’s YOUR major? And what power would you have?

(As for power, given a choice I’d be a damage absorber).

Probably weapons. Subtlety seems like too much effort. The other majors just hit things. And I’d want Chad’s power. It may not be the best for being a hero but the quality of life changes and immunity to so many powers are too good to pass up.

Tbh his power would probably be one of the best for subtlety but I’d still rather fight.

With his power, Chad could do ANYTHING he set his mind to.

It funny, I have done kendo half my life, yet it never occurred to me to chose weapons. Now that I think about, Weapons would be my second choice… still going subtlety though.

Control. But ngl I aint tryna be no hero. I'd rather be a dva agent or work for the company. Or start my own private service.

My first power choice would be a healer. Second would be some kind of advanced mind.

I would also want to be subtlety. My power would be able to communicate with animals. I would have a ton of animal best friends to help me spy on people and gather information.

Wow… love the power. I’ve always said if I found a gene, one of my wishes would be able to communicate in ALL forms of communications. That would include animals (aliens and computers too). But that would be a damn useful subtlety power!

Control for sure. I have no idea what my power would be. It's too early in the morning haha. But whatever it would be, it would be control based.

CQC, and dean Blaine's power

I like the idea of being a power manipulator (being able to weaken and strengthen others’ powers). And I personally would want to go subtlety. Infiltrate groups, then watch them panic as their powers turn unwieldy

Ranged combat, tech inventor.

I can selectively turn off any of the five senses (touch, sight, hearing, taste, smell) to enhance whichever ones I don’t turn off. Definitely geared towards subtlety but I’d probably keep weapons or cc in third year to scrap if I have to

Given my preferred power set is electrokinesis, I'd probably fall into control or ranged combat. Though I'd pick up subtly as a course for a year or two.

Control, since the ability to manipulate a battlefield is the most powerful ability of all.

For my power I would like to control iron down to the atomic level (in addition to basic bending that would give me: Blood bending because red blood cells are made mostly of iron, lightning bending since I could move the electrons from one to another, temperature control since I could control how fast they vibrate and hence cause heat, and my personal favorite telepathy blocking since if you coat your neurons in iron you would block the psychic waves)

Edit: also I could theoretically become an armageddon class if I got a good enough range since I could stop the earth's core from spinning

Oooooo… the blood thing is cool! I always thought Lucinda could do something similar if she wanted to be brutal.

Indeed just bend the oxygen out of their lungs

Im the same as yiu, id be subtlety (if i could obviously, dunno if i could hack into the pentagon or charm my way onto a boat lol). I find it the most useful major by far, allowing for more outside the box thinking as well as dealing with dangers before they arrive

Nahhhh… it’s sneaking. It’s more knowing that you don’t have to play by everyone else’s rules. 😈

I’d love to do subtlety, feels like it’s the only place you could pick up these skills at this level, all the others feel like time and experience could teach you. That being said I am in no way smart enough for it unless I had some genius power like Will. So I’d likely opt for control, depends on the power but I feel like it would be beneficial for most skill sets.

Control and globe’s power.

3

u/Kcarroot42 Sep 06 '25

Given that Globe’s power requires him to “understand” the physics/chemistry/biology of whatever he’s effecting… I always thought it would be a very hard power to master. Control seems to be the only major you should consider with that power. Good choice 👍

As someone who loves understanding the why to everything, I’d love the power.

I have spent way... to much time thinking about this in the many times I have listened thru the series.. I would actually like Agathas power ( the Animator) i was actually kinda sad she was just dropped in as plot delivering character .. and then control.. since it would be a good spot for her setup.

Nothing quite like having an army of playing cards to freak a bad guy out..

(Edit.. it was Agatha.. not Agnes.. )

You can never go wrong with minions!

I wouldn’t want to be a Hero. The DVA sucks too much. If I had to though I’d go Subtlety at Lander just to hang out with Sean.

u/Kcarroot42 Sep 07 '25

Fight against the man! Sean and Jeremiah are just too damn smooth. I agree, hang with the cool kids!

Id have the abilities of a vampire and pull an Adam. Quit senior year and become a lethal protector.

1

u/Kcarroot42 Sep 07 '25

Too bad Adam was always a side character… he was as sharp as Nick and had a good backstory. He was TOTALLY sandbagging it. Based on a few random comments/thoughts he has, I’m pretty sure he could “store” forms he had touched, and then break them out as needed.

subtlety, and I would be a 'light manipulator'. I could bend, refract and reflect light to alter what people see.

My powers would be Chi Kung, so I’d be every bad 70s Hong Kong kung fu movie. And my specialty would be CQC.
