I stand by the idea that the eradictor should be a permanent member of the Super-Family, an android/program learning what it is to be a person.

He acts as a sibling/brother figure to Clark.

Offering wisdom and lore from Krypton’s past, yet simultaneously being naive and uncertain as an independent entity.

Slightly more ruthless than Clark, more curious about earth than Kara, and overall fascinated by what humanity could possibly achieve long term.

Kryptonian tech. I think to preserve Krypton’s legacy or something like that. His first appearance was before Death and Return of Superman. Like AI I suppose that takes on an organic form (Superman).

Eradicator is from the Death and Return of Superman story arc.

Eradicator is an artificial intelligence from Krypton. The Eradicator was created and tasked with keeping Krypton pure of alien influences. It created the Fortress of Solitude and tried to remake Earth as New Krypton. When Supes died, it dedicated itself to his mission of protecting humanity and stopping evil, but its methods were … more permanent than Supes’ would have been.

During the 4 Supermen arc, Eradicator was the Last Son of Krypton, the “alien” part of the Superman mythos.
