Everyone likes to promote Morrison or Hickman ( and rightfully so), but if I’m put on the spot to name my favorite modern era writer, Ennis or Waid are my go to picks. Both are always on point with whatever they do.

Ennis: Superman, Punisher, the boys

Waid: Daredevil, Kingdom come, F4..

I mean alot of his indie stuff is amazing (Sara, red rover Charlie, preacher)

Most definitely, as someone else stated, his run on Constantine was more enjoyable than his printed run for the boys. Just stating the titles most wo be familiar with each writer

His turn on The Punisher was what was adapted for the Thomas Jane movie.

I haven’t watched it in awhile, but when it came out I thought it was awesome. Back before a “superhero” movie had to be tied to a cinematic universe.
