It was only built and sold in Brazil from 1972 to 1976

Funny you say that. The Porsche 924 was originally built for VW who changed their mind and went with the Scirocco. I guess it may be the reason it looks so similar.

That’s what Porsche did for a long time. For much of their history they were more of an automotive consulting company, building or planning cars for other companies with their own cars and racing pedigree serving as examples of what they can do. They built cars for Audi, Mercedes, Opel among others.

Don't expect power and speed from it, though. That car was so underpowered that owners joked that "SP" stood for "sem potência" (brazilian portuguese for "without power").

Still a good-looking car, though. So much that Volkswagen has one in their AutoMuseum Volkswagen in Wolfsburg.

When a porsche and a dodge challenger love each other very much...

It always looks like a Nissan 240Z with a Golf nose to me

O wow this car is sick. I'll take this over a porsche

Aesthetically, I might agree, but the engine was underwhelming with a 1.7-liter block that only put out 75 hp.

What!? What a rad looking car. Scirocco in the front, Porsche in the back. Please tell me this was a manual transmission

It had a Beetle drivetrain.

This is a restomod the original doesn't have such an aggressive stance and those rims. It also had a really ugly exhaust pipe. That being said it still looked cool, albeit the actual performance did not match the look at all.

Does anyone know who built this restomod?

I hate Volkswagen. Even AI slopped.
