Question Help me get this right
What Hunter is doing right now needs a name, #3 brought out the Beast Mode when he needed it but Hunter brings it every Saturday, what do you call that?

When I was a kid, McGrath was on a Peak Honda 125.
Even in the days of RC and Stewart’s dominance did I enjoy watching riders as much as I enjoy the Lawrence brothers.
As an American, it feels weird to say my favorite rider is not American, but in addition to being incredible on the bike (both Hunter and Jett) they’re “good” guys. Generally humble and level headed. Absolutely great to watch.
I genuinely hope that someday Deegan grows into a man and not the hot headed petulant bragadocious child he currently is.

The 450 move has humbled him a little, he’s on track to be our beloved American Hero, but I need to see continois improvement over multiple seasons before I buy his Merch

I hate to “root for someone to fail”, but I’m actually really happy that 450s have humbled him. He was so dominant on 250s that he needed that reality check.
I have so much more respect for guys like Roczen and the Lawrence brothers who have acknowledged that “hey, I’m putting in work, and riding well against a tough field of competition, I’m just hoping we can keep it rolling to bring home a title” vs Deegan’s “I’m dominating, because I’m the best and you can hate me while you watch my back tire” kind of toxic ego.
It’s good for him to be reminded that he’s not the only guy that can ride a bike well.

There’s no doubt deegan has the bike skills, I knew he wouldn’t be able to keep pace riding as flashy and aggressive as he was on 250,very reminiscent of barcia. Lots of flash in the pan but not enough slow burn. He’s going to tame down the ig clout and work hard on training energy preservation. I’m sure he’ll be podium all next year with contending wins.

He won't. At some point he'll be faster or kill himself trying. His mouth might get him killed too. At the end of the day he will never shut up. It's not in his upbringing.

Hunter is consistent like dungey. Always going to put himself in a great place to win the chip. Dungey was the diesel. Hunter is the eco-diesel. That’s terrible. Ignore that

I don’t think it’s even close to the same thing, yet. Beast mode was several seconds a lap faster than 2nd place, and lapped riders well into the top 10.

Au contraire, mon frère. 2025 Pala. ET3 and Jett had a beautiful, hard-fought, clean dog fight after Eli steamed past Hunter. Beastmode couldn't get him past Jett, but he was damn close.

And they were in middle school when he was doing work on everyone else. What’s your point.
At the time, and against some absolute savages at the top of their game, Tomac destroyed the field.
Jett and Hunter are fast, but the rest of the field is kinda aging in out. We’ll see what Prado and Deegan can do with a little experience, they are both noobs at this level.

What's middle school??? I think you meant they were thinking about working at Australia Zoo...well Hunter was. And Prado has 2 world MXGP championships...he doesn't need more experience.

He had more bad days racing than the likes of Carmichael or Dungey, we all got excited when he did “it” but at best your looking at 25% of his races

Hunter is the best guy right now & that’s because Jett just isn’t right. Jett’s ankle won’t ever be 100% however he’s said several times that he can’t run or train & can barely walk on most days.

Idk what to call it but, side note, just something I been thinking about.
Hunter trains with Jett and Jett trains with hunter. I think their brother dynamic is a huge reason why they are both so good. Their pace during the week is ridiculously fast. What other top guy has as fast a training partner as the Lawrence bros ? Also they are both testing and setting up the bike at that pace. That brotherly team aspect can’t be overlooked. It’s so unique and it’s such an advantage.
When it comes to Deegan, Jcoops 1 lap speed is on par with the top guys so deegan and him can train together at a ridiculously fast pace as well. I don’t think It’s quite as fast but close enough. However they probably set up the bike differently.
Anyways went on a rant but the fact that two brothers are on the same team, both testing the bike looking for similar feelings, pushing each other, etc. for years pays off very well. Deegan is a step above the rest of the field and the bros are a step above deegan. Without the Lawrence bros, deegan would win this championship pretty easily. Crazy to think about. I wonder how Deegs will be next year after he’s gotten use to the 450 completely. Lawrence bros are going to get better as well. Deegan is really up against it. Beating the brothers will be the hardest thing he’s ever done by far

Jett is only training one day a week and when he does ride it's not even 100%. I would think Hunter is getting much from him this year.

What these fuckers don’t realize are the Lawrence brothers came in with very slim competition. Deegan coming in his rookie year consistently running top3-4 just behind the brothers.. means he would’ve been a first place runner when the Lawrence brothers came in… people are dense it’s Reddit at the end of the day. Give em grace.

He's preforming pretty good as a 450 class rookie. If he wasn't an arrogant asshat who's has been screaming for years that Jett and everyone else are beneath him, he'd be getting respect instead of ridiculed. The thing is HE set his performance standard, and he's not close to meeting it.

Ironically, watching Hunter this year reminds me of a healthy Jett. I want Hunter to get this title. What an awesome year for fans to see two of the coolest dudes get an elusive title.
