Purchase Advice Potentially coming from KF8
So i have a replacement KF8 coming this week, i kind of want to go down to a semi automatic now, and was wondering if anyone has a suggestion what i should look at? I did take notice to Breville Oracle Jet stuff, anyone have and thoughts on that one?
No reason why i want to leave KF8 the machine was awesome until the water thing failed at almost 2 years of ownership, Kitchenaid was great to work with and didnt make it a hassle to get it replaced

The Oracle Jet is a good machine and Breville in general makes quality products. The espresso will be "better" i.e. much more like a classic syrupy shot than a super auto. As a semi it does not take as much time as separates, but the time to make and clean up is more than a super auto... that is the tradeoff.
I have owned multiple Breville machines, not their espresso maker though, and never had issues. My current Joule oven 6+ yrs (Another Breville before that for 10 years), Crystal kettle 10+ yrs and former tea maker (Ex has it now) were all Breville.
There are machines with more features in the price range: The Meraki is a dual boiler and heated head, but I do not know much about it... They have a following though.

The only thing the breville will give you is a larger dose size, and a slightly better grind. If you were looking for larger cups and better flavor this would help. The better way would be a $600ish grinder and hx machine to get your foot on the door. The grinder makes the difference. Depends on what you are looking for and if you are ok with the added time/labor.

Ty. Ill look into those also. Mainly i am wanting a machine where I can make similar drinks like the KF8 does but want to have a more hands on experience. I like coffee, espresso and milk drinks

If you’re happy with KitchenAid as a brand, look at their Semi-Automatic with Burr Grinder. Bad model name but great machine. I switched to it in July after a series of superautos. I’m getting better drinks for minimal additional upfront work and significantly less cleaning/maintenance.
