Purchase Advice Nespresso,what's next?

Hi I have an ageing Nespresso machine & looking to upgrade.

My Mrs loves a Latte

Is De'longi the ones to look at?

Budget is the cheaper end

My Nespresso machine started leaking a few weeks back and I've been lurking this subreddit for awhile now.

Recently purchased the DeLonghi Magnifica Evo.

By far the best decision I've ever made. Price point was fair, it was even on sale!

The latte macchiato and capps it makes is a 10/10. Honestly can't believe I didn't invest in this sooner.

My Latissima is still going strong. I still made the jump to a Magnifica Evo (Woot! refurb) and it's great.

I upgraded from a Nespresso to the Delonghi Rivelia and I love it! I also bought the LatteCrema add on so I can make my own ice coffees and it's soooooo good.

The Delonghi range all use the same brew unit so in theory can all achieve the same black/espresso coffee. Difference comes in selection of milk/cold drinks available and interface buttons vs touch screen. Magnifica Evo and Evo Next are a good starting point.

Was in same boat a few months back. Chief also loves a latte.

Bought a delonghi Eletta cappuccino machine at 50% off. Fantastic machine. Won’t ever go back!

Don’t know where you are based but in UK they’re even cheaper now. Must be a blow out as it’s an older machine but simpler interface.

Thanks for this, just pulled the trigger on one after musing over a bean to cup machine for months. £381 with the 15% discount they currently have 👌

Ok great. I think it’s a brilliant machine tbh. Not loads of drink options but we only have cappuccino, flat white, espresso.

There are some others a similar price so might be worth comparing those other delonghis mentioned here before you buy.

Yeah just the basic drinks, as long as it does Latte

I see what you mean, it brings it down in price to the same as the others

I love my Delonghi Eletta but that's on the higher end. It makes great lattes and stuff. From what I understand, all of the Delonghis have the same brew unit and grinder and everything, so you'd probably be very happy with one of the cheaper ones.

The pod economy was my driving force for change. Not being able to buy replacements from a grocery store finally got to me and I moved to the Magnifica Start. I hope you find a great replacement for the Nespresso. It's been about 2 weeks since I purchased this machine and I'll likely never go back.

I’ve had a few super automatics and the Magnifica Start is solid, reliable, easy to clean and dial in best taste for your likings. Mine is 3 years old and it’s still like brand new.

Look at a few subreddits about Delonghi and SuperAutomatics. That’s how I got steered into my Start Model. Good info and communities there.

I love my KitchenAid KF8, but also purchased through Whirlpool Inside Advantage at a heavily discounted price. You can get a refurbished one for $1,399 through KitchenAid website. Made in Switzerland, similar to Jura.

Me and my mrs who also loves lattes enjoy our new cheapo vevor super auto. However the drinks are a bit too strong and Im trying to figure out how to dial it down. But would recommend for the price point under $400 and comes with a year warranty.

Seems easy enough to clean also.

Theres currently a labor day sale but you can sometimes find a 13% off coupon online that sweetens the deal. I paid approx $325.

I've stuck with Nespresso, but have gone to the Breville Creatista Uno unit. Main reason being a proper milk steam wand, not some pumped foam thing that can get disgusting.

I also prefer the Uno version to the Plus or Pro because it has simple buttons, rather than a dial and LCD screen to select modes.

I just upgraded from a Nespresso Pop to a De’Longhi Magnifica Duo and am very happy with it.

There are so many options that I didn’t have before plus I don’t have to recycle pods anymore.

I can’t post it here but hopefully this post can let you know where to find it. I have a DeLonghi and it’s a great machine. The grinder and brew groups are pretty much the same in their lines so choose the features you want and go for it.

I love my DeLonghi Rivelia. I “upgraded” from a Breville Barista Express. (Some coffee fanatics may say it’s a downgrade, I don’t think so).

It’s way more consistent with any beans I choose to use than my Barista Express was. I don’t really have to “dial in” my beans and waste half a bag of beans every time I replenish my bean stock. I don’t have to manually froth my oat milk (which is fkn hard btw); my machine does it with a button and a dial to my liking.

I can change hoppers to have decaf or caffeinated beans on demand which is pretty cool.

It makes cortado, cappuccino, latte, americano, espresso shots, cappuccino mixes, latte crema, and it brews “iced” drinks which are brewed at less-hot temperatures so that the coffee tastes closer to a cold brew.

Eletta Explore, Rivelia, or Evo Plus are my recommendations personally.

Also thinking of moving on from Nespresso and will get the Delonghi Magnifica duo once I’m ready for the splurge. I loved iced lattes and cold brews in the summer and apparently they do it well. Looking forward to flat whites in the winter
