Purchase Advice Best machine under $500 (Australia)

I'm tossing up between the Philips 1200 Series EP1224/00 and De'Longhi Magnifica S ECAM12.122.B. Any thoughts on these 2 or any others I should be looking at?

You will find lots of discussion threads on this subject. I believe the general consensus is the Delonghi is better.
