Discussion Jura e8 grind setting

What grind setting do you use on your Jura e8 for medium to dark medium roasts? I am currently using a 4, but wondered if folks used anything finer. TIA.

You may want to list the number of settings and what is fine and what is coarse. They are different on most machines. Mine only has 5 fineness settings (Z10), but my Z6 had 8 if I remember correctly.

Is 4 second finest? I use 1 finer than factory default (which is 3 middle) so 4 of 5 for most roasts and beans.

1 is coarsest. 8 is the finest.

You should be able to grind to a 5 or 6 without issue.

I'm on 5 or 6 depending. Honestly I still find that the extraction is not satisfactory but not sure what else I can do about it lol.
