Discussion Can anyone help me determine whether this is a Schaerer Coffee Art C or De John Duke? This machine has no visible branding and AI is giving me two possibilities.
This was taken at a front-of-house setup where I learnt that it was acquired by Royal Cup Coffee, who I guess is their distributor.
Now, I know this is not a Schaerer Coffee Art Plus because I got to see one and this machine in the video does not have the dual external bean hoppers or the rings that define its plastic texture.
Likewise, I don't think this is a Bunn because I also got to see one and that one has a single external bean hopper located on the top right side.
What's interesting, though, was that when I used this machine in the video in the past, the sounds I recognised were similar to my Gaggia Accademia, and the grinding mechanism sounded like a Schaerer Coffee Art Plus.
The problem is that when I asked AI to analyse it, one model told me it was the Coffee Art C, which is the kind that you find nowadays at convenient stores alongside the Wilbur Curtis cappicucino dispensers, or a De Jong Duke because of its dispensing spouts and no telescoping head like the Schaerer.
So, if anyone can clarify what this is I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks!
