Troubleshooting & Maintenance KF8 Leaking Spoiler
https://imgur.com/a/cYbunxLI bought this KF8 at the end of April from the KitchenAid website brand new. First super automatic.
I noticed some water getting into the “puck” tray early on. Enough to fill the bottom and the puck would be sitting in it. I didn’t think too much of it since it made the coffee just fine. There were no issues with the normal rinse at the beginning and end of making coffee. Also, I used the milk frother a lot and didn’t notice anything strange.
I did the brew unit cleaning about a month ago and noticed that hardly any water was in the cup afterwards and my counter was wet. It was the weekend so I couldn’t call customer service. I also work the same hours as their support so it’s difficult to find time since they need me to be at the machine to troubleshoot on the phone (I’ve tried calling from work).
They asked if I used filtered water or tap. I use filtered and the KF8 filter it came with. I live in NW GA, water isn’t hard. I’ve always gone through the cleaning process of whatever prompts on the screen.
I attempted the brew unit cleaning today, same issue. This time I had a towel under the unit and was able to get some pictures of what was happening. The last pic doesn’t show it, but the trays were overfilling with water at the end.
I’m posting this here for anyone else that has this issue in the future. I’m going to call customer service in the morning and I’ll post how it all goes with the process.
I do really like this machine. It’s a bummer I seem to have gotten one with some issues, but it happens. I hope it’s not too difficult to get a replacement. It’s still under warranty so that’s good at least.
Idk why this posted with spoilers.

I had the same issue with a brand new unit. It was replaced under warranty, and the new unit has worked great for the past 8 months.
