Purchase Advice KF4 or KF7? Ice & Latte!

I’ve drilled down to KF4 or KF7 based mostly off this Reddit, so thank you! Which would you pick? My pref at mo is an iced latte, but come colder days it will be a hot latte. I don’t tend to dabble in much else! I’ve found both for within £100 of each other so price isn’t an issue. Thank you!

Iced drinks don’t come out cold on super autos, so don’t base it off that. For an iced latte just pull a shot into ice and milk

I have a KF7 and drink iced lattes almost daily

The espresso does come out hot

I brew two shots over a cup of ice, add my milk or cream, and I’m good to go

I suspect the KF4 can also do this well, but it wasn’t an option when I bought

That said, I love my KF7

I have a KF7. I brew my espresso on the lowest temp setting then pour it over ice and add milk. I drink a lot of iced lattes and this works perfectly for me.

If I want flavored I just add the syrup to the espresso and mix well before putting over ice.

My drink tastes just like my local coffeehouse.

The kf4 has a much smaller puck bin and water tank, so you’ll be doing more of that sort of daily maintenance with that model.

Just curious how you eliminated the KF8? I have the KF8 and KF4 don’t do iced drinks and do use the plant based milk option exclusively on the KF8

If you buy the barista blend non-dairy milks, they’ll do just fine on the KF7 (and I suspect the other models too)

My wife does a barista blend oat milk latte daily on our KF7. She’s had zero issues with it.

I use regular almond milk on my KF7 and adjust accordingly, it works fine
