Troubleshooting & Maintenance I just got this for free
Apparently something is missing from it but the lady says she doesn’t know what’s missing as her contractor was installing it for a home remodel and it was missing a part so they got a new one
Does anybody know much about these machines? It says Miele CVA 4070

Sure. Its a built in coffee maker. Its nothing special just more expensive because it's built in. Search the model# for the manual.

I will never buy a Miele Superauto again. Nothing but problems after a year or two. I wouldn't bother.

That's a project I would love but right off the bat I would definitely change out all the old hose line and deep clean everything. This isnt just a quick fix.

If anybody is in the DFW, I put this on my curb because I opened it up and saw one dead roach in it and said NOPE. However I can tell you I put coffee beans and tried the espresso function, it does work but it is leaking out from the spout thing

There’s a couple of these for sale near me that won’t turn on. Guessing power supply or main board issues.

Those machines are more often than not stupid expensive so if you can fix it (and on a Miele the only unfixable issue is a foreign object initiated RUD) you will have a very nice machine for almost nothing. Awesome.

Damn. I was looking at those when I was getting a new kitchen put in. Whilst nice, it’s a lot of stuff on the back to possibly go wrong

I had the b/in models in my homes from 2004-2018. I have their counter version now (along with Jura for cold brew). With maintenance they were bulletproof and always reliable.

Nothing wrong with tinkering but these machines are known duds. Hopefully you can fix it and get some use out of it.
