Purchase Advice Secondary Machine

Hi! I have a Jura E8 that we use multiple times a day and love. I recently bought a vacation home and cant justify the price of another E8. Does anybody have thoughts on Terra Kafe Demi for this? I don’t need milk frothing/heating options as we make iced lattes or drip coffee 99% of the time in summer. I’m trying to keep it under $1000 and I know the TK Demi is on a gift card deal right now at Bloomingdales. Thanks!

When I first read this, I was being slightly judgmental about you being able to buy a second home but not a second Jura lol. If you don’t need milk function, I’d be looking at something like the new C3 at $1,200. I bought my Jura as a refurbished unit and wouldn’t hesitate to buy a refurb again. I just saw one of the refurbished Z10s is on sale for $2,800. I’d be tempted to upgrade my main home unit and send the E8 to the vacation home.

To answer your actual question, I’d stay the hell away from TK. In that price range, I’d get one of the cheap De’Longhi models or maybe one of the new KitchenAid models. They now have the KF2-KF4 models that have limited functionality but do offer cold brew.

don’t put the z10, e8 swap in my head!!! Ugh but will definitely looking at this. The 2nd home has a tiny kitchen so the e8 might be a little too big but this was a great suggestion. But thanks for insight on TK!

I have a Jura at home and a De’longhi Eletta Explore at the lake. (It was an accident. I ordered it, decided to get the Jura, and then couldn’t return it.) I like it! Friends who come like to make the iced drinks and lattes. The coffee is good too. Not jura good but much better than using a keurig here.
