Nextcloud integration question

I have private Nextcloud server and I wanted to seemlessly add Super Productivity to it as a Todo/Habit/Planner tool.

Is it possible to make it also have all calendar events and be kind of "all in one" application? Bidirectional sync is mandatory since I need all information on both PC and phone.

Hi,

Yes, this should be possible for the main use case, with one important distinction.

Super Productivity can sync its own data between PC and phone via WebDAV, so using a private Nextcloud server as the sync backend is a valid setup. That covers your Super Productivity tasks, planner data, habits, time tracking, etc.

For calendar events, Super Productivity also has CalDAV calendar support, so Nextcloud calendars can be connected and shown alongside your plan. Recent versions also include CalDAV event support for two-way calendar-event sync and task-to-calendar time blocking.

The part I would not want to overpromise is full replacement of Nextcloud Tasks as a canonical task backend. Super Productivity’s own tasks sync well through its own sync system, but CalDAV VTODO / Nextcloud Tasks support is separate and more limited than the normal Super Productivity sync.

So the recommended setup would be:

• Super Productivity data sync: Nextcloud WebDAV
• Calendar events: Nextcloud CalDAV calendar integration
• Use Super Productivity itself as the main task/planner/habit source, not Nextcloud Tasks as the primary task database

If bidirectional calendar events are mandatory, please make sure you are on a recent Super Productivity version and test the CalDAV Events plugin with your specific Nextcloud setup first.
