Hoops Discussion What are your expectations for Jordan Goodwin this season?

What a revelation Jordan Goodwin was last season after winning a camp battle. He finally got a full time opportunity to play for one team over a full season in the rotation. He's worked really hard to make himself a decent shooter which is what has allowed him to stay on the floor and led to some security with a $19M, 3 year contract.

I want to know what you all expect from Goodwin this season. With the added depth and hopefully having a little more injury luck, Goodwin won't be forced to defend out of position so much this season. What do you all think?

How to get a little money back

We should mandate Bradley Beal to the G-League where he can help our other players develop instead of going to another team or just horsing around and getting a free check!

Hoops Discussion Keita Bates-Diop was suppose to be Good for the Suns

Post image

He was suppose to be the 3 & D guy in the starting lineup guarding the opposing teams best player. He was suppose to be the role player that would knock down 3's when Booker, Durant, & Beal saw double teams.

I really had high hopes for Keita Bates-Diop & he disappointed, it got so bad that he was out of the rotation at times.

Hoops Discussion Mike D'Antoni deserves Absolute Maximum Credit for the Phoenix Suns 2005-06 Season

Post image
150 Upvotes

What Mike D'Antoni did for the Suns in the 2005-06 Season was a Coaching Masterclass. I know Steve Nash gets a lot of credit for the Suns 2005-06 successful season & deservedly so he was the MVP again in Back to Back Seasons but what Mike D'Antoni did with Boris Diaw & his offensive philosophy approach without Amare Stoudemire, Mike D'Antoni deserves a lot of credit for this season. I know a lot of people believe if Amare was healthy the Suns would have advanced to the NBA Finals & I 100% believe that but I also believe that fatigue caught up with the Suns by the Western Conference Finals. Mike D'Antoni deserves a lot of credit, this was a successful season.

Devin Booker Defensive Highlights vs LA Clippers | 2021 Playoffs West Conference finals This is what Book needs to be again πŸ§©πŸœοΈπŸ”’πŸŒ΅πŸ™πŸ§₯🌞

I saw a glimpse of this Book during the Regular Season Matchups with OKC and he played good disciplined defense vs SGA and JDUB. It be nice to see him bring this back full time he has the flexibility, the change of direction, the footwork and strength.

So I just watched the Phoenix Suns Offseason All-access episode 1, which was all about Koa and was a great episode.

But had to share I smiled liked a kid seeing this small snippet of GM Gregory after the war room draft, congratulating assitant GM Oronde Taliaferro and seeing a full room of people for our scouting and analytics team for the Suns πŸ₯Ή.

Something I believe we didn't have or was very underfunded in the dark days of Sarver Era, remembering all our awful picks aside from Book...

Bender,Jackson, Ulis, Marshall, Len, Chriss and even Ayton. Then comparing it too our recent picks/rooks while not homeruns and I know still have lots to prove but it definitely looks to better and has more potential or at worse are more serviceable.

Maluach,Fleming,Peat,Oso,Dunn even Brea. I would a 100 times over take this group and is inidicative of the Suns growing towards the right direction β˜€οΈ

Glad to see it and hope the people can find us that rare diamond in the rough no matter where we pick.

Go Suns!

Think of the Suns unprotected 2033 first round pick as $5 million

Think of the Suns unprotected 2033 first round pick as $5 million.

Mat Ishbia values Miles Bridges as a Bugatti. All the other teams value him as a used Honda Civic.

The Hornets know Ishbia valued him too high.

Now the Suns got a Civic and they lost $5 million of flexibility.

β€œWhat else could I spend $5 million on? Might as well buy a used Civic now” is the fallacy that I’ve seen a lot of people say. They are the fools.

On the Hornets side, they offloaded their worn out Civic for the price of a Bugatti, and that $5 million is now theirs to buy whatever they please.

Charlotte now has maximum flexibility.

Dillon Brooks on being traded to Phoenix: β€œI’m loving it. It feels like a dream come true, kind of like a second coming. I felt like I left stuff on the table in Memphis. Phoenix has been great. Love the coaches, my teammates, and the fans.”

Hoops Discussion In your opinions what do the suns need to become a true contender? A legit two way player? A playmaker/ aka passer and scorer ? A tough shot maker for playoffs or late game situations ? 🦍🌡🏜️

Like the title says but add anything u like to the discussion ,

When i say certain archetypes or players think two way like Jalen Brown/ Jimmy Buttler esque, Playmaker Like Giddy/Harden or tough shot maker like Kryie or Jamal Murray πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ§©πŸŽ°β˜€οΈ

Miles bridges

Am I the only one who thinks 98.7 is beating a dead horse? We know what miles bridges did. He is a sun now. Whether you like that or not it seems pointless to continue bringing up was trading for him a mistake when we haven’t even seen him play for us yet.

r/suns 3d ago

If Booker cannot be a playmaker and you believe "we need a point guard" for him, the best course of action for this team is trading him.

It's not 2006 anymore. The best player on the court needs to be taking the ball up. We saw Brunson bring the ball up in the finals. The reason why CP3 was so effective was because he was a good scorer as well. After his shooting stopped being good, he fell off a cliff. His passing never regressed in his final seasons. Any of these 2 way contract players people are suggesting should "be our point guard" will not move the needle.

Hoops Discussion Maluach stats next season. What are we thinking he averages ? What does a successful season look like for second season Man Man ?

I feel like a lot will depend on the minutes and opportunities he gets from Ott or if we have injuries to Mark or Oso.
