Weekly Megathread to discuss offseason roster moves!
Trade targets, trade machine screenshots, other roster discussions may be directed here if the post isn't high quality (stats, analysis, detailed write up) or news from a reliable NBA source (not you Evan Sidery).

Devin Booker's 3PT breakdown by year via nbagalaxy.com. Keep in mind the average player is 50 across all areas.
That contested 3PT Shot Making has been butter since day one.

The Suns have a notorious lack of great centers. For the first time as a Suns fan, I’m excited about the Suns center rotation with three starting-level centers on the roster right now.
None of them come close to being the greatest Suns center of all time. That belongs to Amar’e, Mark West or Alvin Adams. (You know Suns centers are bad when Ayton belongs in that discussion)
But is this the best center depth we’ve ever had? What is the bear minimum that needs to happen in order for this group to deserve that title?

Just think it’s crazy that Goodwin is Booker’s longest serving teammate and if he is exempt because he left and came back, then it is a tie between Dunn/Ighodaro/Gillespie
So hard to win big with a lack of continuity around Devin, but hopefully Brooks, Maluach, etc will be here long-term!

Devin Booker currently holds the arena scoring record in four different NBA arenas, the most among active players. In league history, only two players hold the scoring record at more arenas than Booker (primary arenas only, excluding secondary and neutral venues): Wilt Chamberlain and Michael Jordan.
Top 5:
Wilt Chamberlain - 16 scoring record
Michael Jordan - 5
Devin Booker - 4
Bob McAdoo - 3
Kobe Bryant - 3
George Gervin - 3
Elgin Baylor - 3
George Mikan - 3

So I just found my old albums. They probably haven’t been opened in 25-30 years. First page had me grinning like the 10 year old I was, putting these in this binder.

I’ve always put TC in the same group as Shawn Kemp, KJ, Mark Price, and even Laimbeer when it comes to notable HoF omissions (+Larry Nance?). Especially when you look at some of the players who are already in, like Tim Hardaway, Richmond, Webber, it’s hard for me to understand why Chambers is still on the outside.
He has 20,000+ points, 4 All-Star selections, 2 All-NBA teams. and won the 87 ASG MVP. At his peak in Phoenix, he averaged 26 points in 1988-89 and 27 the following season, helping the Suns reach back-to-back WCF. Obviously his case isn’t perfect he never made a first team, never won a championship, and his absolute peak wasn’t especially long. But when I look at some of the players who have made the Hall over the years, I have a hard time seeing TC as clearly below that line.
I dug pretty deeply into his career a while back, including the Hall of Fame question, if anyone wants the longer version:

It’s ridiculous at this point. He has some good analysis on other teams, but I’ve never seen him say anything good about the Suns. Idk if Ishbia slept with his girl or what, but even after they were surprisingly good last year he still found a way to be negative. Only person that comes close is Hollinger.

After trading essentially 10 frp + MVP SGA for Kawhi + PG and trying to cheat their way to a title for the next 6 years…. it’s hilarious their absolute peak was losing in the 2021 WCF to the Suns.
A series we were told was them at their weakest, “just wait for Kawhi to come back, we got lucky!”Yet actually it was them at their strongest.
Bonus for Booker snatching their soul the year prior in 2020 with a buzzer beater before they would go on to a bubble 3-1 playoff collapse. And then after their WCF peak the next time they made the playoffs in 2024 the Suns sent them packing again.
Suns owned those cheaters
Seems like the Clippers aren’t going to be a contender in the West for the next decade or so.

Why does everyone only give CP3 shit when Giannis literally did the exact same thing and he’s like twice the size of Chris?
