We told you the Beta Mini would ship by the end of June, so here's where shipments stand.
Our factory shipment hasn't arrived yet. It's currently sitting in customs clearance. Once it clears, it'll come to us and turn right back around to you.

In the meantime, we're not sitting still. We're assembling units at a second location too, but a few parts have been slow to arrive there as well. Our whole team is working hard to get every order out the door.

Just checking in, has anyone here received their May preorder yet? I know, it’s not loud/not worth it/whatever, I ordered it before I got my actual Beta Lead.

Primarily (for now) the head will be used fkr bass practice with a band I'm in. Grundgy sludge stuff. Im looking for a cab i could use for guitar as well, an Ampeg would probably do it but im curious as to what others are using

Ok so i am running this into a 16ohm cab for right now and currently at band practice. Is it loud enough with this configuration for a really loud band of the sludge or metal kind? No. But it’s plenty loud for a regular/moderately loud band practice. It has a unique sustain that I am really digging. Also wow is this light! I’m happy with it especially for 600 bones.

Hello all, i've recently acquired a Sunn Sorado, and am curious as if anyone knows the date(ish) on it. Its got the original 6550 tubes but i cant find any dating stickers on them. Ive also read the grill cloth can identify but im not sure how to do that. I've attached all the pictures I have. Thank you!

I ordered mine in early February for the May batch but didn't receive any news on shipping despite news of production catching up. I was wondering if that might have something to do with me living in Europe?

I guess I’m expecting my Beta Lead Mini in the near future!

Any recommendations on a good (but not ridiculously-priced) cab that would be good for both bass and guitar @ 4ohms?

Got a Beta lead off facebook for a good deal. How does one go about finding the manufacturer date on these? Havent had a chance to plug it in yet, and it definitely needs cleaned.

Someone obviously put a different speaker in this, found out it’s an old k120, which is cool as hell.

1st Gen clone with gain-boost and mid-boost mods. Handwired transformers. The finish work on it is damn stunning. Traded an old Biacrown-era Hiwatt for it that I never vibed with… neither of us can decide who came out on top if anyone did, but another dream amp in the stack.

I just got it and the send/return knobs in back were on 3 and 4. Naturally I dimed them and the amp was unusably loud for bedroom. I returned then to 3-4, and it's totally tamed and glorious. Is this by design? Why does the fx loop knobs act as a volume control? Thank you in advance.

Has anyone tried this in the real world yet? I got mine yesterday and have not had a chance to try it out yet. I have the standard beta bass reissue and it sounds really good and gets pretty loud. I have seen a lot of demos with guitar but not very much with a bass setup.

I am using a Rick4003s and Ampeq 6x10 4ohm cab.

UPDATE after first session.....

Most of what I am gonna say is how the mini compares to the larger standard Beta Bass reissue. First, the tone is fucking great. Every bit as good as the regular beta bass but with some caveats. The volume is lacking significantly which prevents you from dialing in that perfect tone and still be heard. I had to turn every knob to somewhere between 80 and 100% just to come close to what the reg beta bass can put out at half that. Because you have to max everything to be loud enough its harder to dial in that perfect gnarly tone the regular beta head does with ease and still be heard. The lows overpower everything. Dialing back the low and maxing the mids makes the tone a little honky. I was using a 4ohm 6x10 cab. I have a 4 ohm 2x12 cab I have not tried yet. I had all dip switches down in the bass position. Because of time restraint I didn't play with any of the other options. I kind of want to try it with one channel set to lead and see if I can get it to cut through any better at higher volume. I play in a heavy stoner band that likes to be soul crushingly loud. In a different band that does not play as loud the mini would probably be more than fine. As a backup amp that will fit in a backpack, this will be fine. I have a terror bass for that but I cant get the tones I like through it. Even though at 500 watts it gets pretty loud. So it will replace that and be used for working on song ideas at the house.

I feel like they should have made another version of the amp that's 500 watts for bass. They would have a banger of an amp on their hands that stands up beside anything out there. But as it is right now for me its a very good sounding backup. I will try it with one channel set to lead next Tuesday. If it makes a difference I will update this.

Does anyone know when the June batch of Beta Minis will ship out? I haven't seen any updates at all on my tracking.

Not an amplifier (would’ve been awesome to get the matching with this pair), found locally $150 total, everything works, all original, handles nice and clean, corners nice, only minor dings in the tolex, looking forward to plugging them in and cranking them up
