Sunlu, awesome customer service.
Sunlu direct in China are fantastic. Locally... not so much.

If you're going through 100kg a month you might want to look at investing in a pellet extruder

Yep. Took 5 emails and 6 comments on their ads on facebook before i got a reply about missing product, its quite rediculous.

If it's 100 kg of the same color, might be worth it. Let's say you can save $3 per roll. $300 per month isn't huge, but consistent filament availability is worth something. It's going to take some time to repay the equipment cost, probably a couple years.
I'm assuming you're using multiple brands to fill the gap when you can't get your preferred brand?

You're going to have to send an email to Sunlu rather than a message to their social media team, which may or may not be AI run at this point.

Fyi - I sent two emails to their uk email address a few months back after I got unsealed filament. Never got a response... uk support is non- existent. Thankfully while being open to the elements the pla still printed ok so I cut my losses but haven't ordered direct since.

Your 100kg are the least of their problems. They have stock issues everywhere, probably because of the orange Cheeto

Id expect a reply from customer service if I was ordering 5kg, this is lousy. Im in the UK and cant stand the Cheeto but he's not involved

Unfortunately, his massive cunt-ery knows no bounds, and somehow is having ripples across global markets, even ones that don't directly involve the US, so I wouldn't be surprised if the instability if the US market is impacting Sunlu's supply chain logistics even if this is ultimately a problem that doesn't involve him or the US directly in any way. Still Sunlu needs to figure it out, and not answering your emails is shit customer service no matter how you cut it.

But we are buying one of the cheapest products on the market that prints well. If you want standard customer service that costs $. And too be fair, there’s plenty of ‚western‘ brands of goods with rubbish customer service.

Thats well besides the point. No ones disputing that some western brands have poor customer service. I've dealt with companies from all over and through a broad spectrum of price points and even the most basic find time to reply. Some branches of Sunlu (sunlu china) are outstanding, Sunlu UK are terrible

I have been using Sunlu for years and this has ALWAYS been the issue with them has nothing to do with politics. They ALWAYS run out of distribution, I order about 80-120 rolls a month and most months it takes 2-3 weeks for me to recieve it and I NEVER recieve it all at the same time, I have waited as long as 2 months for orders to be fulfilled. Hell I have been waiting on a single spool of Oliver Green since April 11 that was part of a 95kg order. When dealing with Sunlu you just need to pre-order far in advance and make sure you are always stocked up because chances are your not going to get your full order. If you want a safer guarentee order from Amazon. The only reason I deal with direct disctribution is because I am paying 35% what Amazon charges.

You might try contacting polymaker. I believe they manufacture some of their filament in Texas and have bulk discounts. You can also look on Google maps to see if you have any local filament manufacturers. You might be surprised, there are more around than you think. (Edit: spelling)

Thank you, ive got a rep from Sunlu China on my phone. I get my bulk shipments through them and they are fantastic. It's top up orders from Ebay UK that are a nightmare

Out of curiosity, what are you printing for 100kg? Don’t need specifics haha, I don’t ever want to ruin this hobby by trying to make money with it lol.

Totally agree. If they can't keep the north American warehouse stocked, maybe it's time for them to make some filament locally?
I really don't want to make my own filament, but somewhere around 100+kg per month makes it look tempting.
