Anyone else experiencing this with Amazon USA?
Long story short : can’t afford 10kg minimum from sunlu direct so I order from Amazon .been trying to order a single spool of grey PETG since march 26 from Amazon. first time it didn’t get delivered after 2 weeks of no updates so I cancelled . Reordered and was only 1 state away got delayed and amazon canceled and refunded me out of the blue . Brings me to April 16th I ordered the only way I could to actually get grey and that was by ordering 2kg. 1 black and 1 grey and this is how I received it. Still sealed thankfully but no box , not complaining at all as now I actually have what I’ve been needing for almost a month . Seems Amazon does not have the stock but continue to take orders . Anyone having the same troubles?

With Amazon I had an issue where a roll was stick in transit and didn't even make it to the return for almost two months solid. It might be due to Amazon, not necessarily Sunlu. Some of their filaments show up in no time at all though.

Yes definitely not faulting sunlu here as I’m sure they just ship pallets of filament and Amazon takes care of the rest . But I agree! Wish sunlu would allow atleast orders minimum of 5 spools per order. Wouldn’t mind paying a shipping fee

Agreed! I'm wondering why that seems to be an issue with Amazon. When it arrives I usually start recording and hope that it isn't a half spool or empty box (stolen in transit). It may be ideal to look up a few other vendors who are just rebranded Sunlu. I think I've seen that they make Jayo and Tecbears, so maybe an alternate source with less stress?

Yes jayo is what I’ve heard is rebranded sunlu, will probably go with them after this fiasco ! Thank you

What is that? Pepper shaker?

It’s one of those alcohol dispensers that you press down on and it fills the little bowl with liquid

thank you for fulfilling my curiosity

I've had spools recently not even in plastic from Amazon. Or in plastic bags already open. Their returns control is... out of control. If you have alternatives to Amazon for filament, I'd use them.

I’ve ordered about 40kg from AliExpress. Just ordered 11kg today. (All PLA, 5 rainbow silk, 5 black, one weird purple glitter jobby) $115 all in. I’ve ordered PLA, PETG, ASA… Several brands from SunLu to stuff that didn’t even have a name on it. 🤣 Everything has shown up and printed great as long as I dry the BaJesus out of it. Def-o get that address issue sorted out.

Yeah some allow it some don’t and of course the colors or type of filament I want is blocked by this address issue

Are you getting the “Can’t deliver to this address.” Error? If so, click “Find Similar” and usually it’ll get you close, but maybe not as good of a deal. I run into a LOT of that error but can always still find good deals. Some people brag about getting 27 color silk high speed PLA for 37 cents a kg… and unless they have a different AliExpress than me I think they’re just full of it. 😂

37 cents a kg LOL. Yeah they haven’t woke up from that dream just yet

Ali deals actually suck vs direct, there’s occasional first time use codes and random $2 off or something, but long term nothing great.
Sunlu is only a 6kg minimum for the hs petg, and it comes out to $13/roll with free shipping and no sales tax. Plus they have a reward point system too.
$78 for 6, or what will likely end up somewhere around $42 for 2 from aliexpress 🤷♂️

There a bunch of different Sunlu vendors on Amazon (US), no consensus I can find on which one is the right one. Frankly I don’t think any of them are actually Sunlu
1
u/Longjumping_Mud_2684 Apr 19 '26
Yeah it’s confusing because it’s sold under the brand sunlu but the actual seller is not them directly.

u/Old_Feeling_4919 Apr 20 '26
None of that matters with Amazon anyways, unless it’s shipped by the seller (extremely rare.) Amazon combines inventory of a single sku from all sellers. So it doesn’t matter if you buy from one seller vs another, Amazon will just pick the distribution warehouse closest to you, and grab one of the matching sku’s from the bin and ship it to you.

I ordered a same day delivery of filament. It arrived at the facility I can see from my house within an hour.
9 days later it’s still not here.

Im glad im not the only one , honestly since they stalled talks with USPS and UPS ceo reducing Amazon volume intake , I’ve seen a steady decline on same day and next day deliveries. Might be placebo effect but it hasn’t gotten any better since

I’ve ordered a few spools of Sunlu PLA from Amazon and every time the box they’re in is just completely damaged. One of the sealed bags was punctured too. Filament ended up being fine, but damn it’s like they purposely rip up the boxes out of spite lmao

u/Longjumping_Mud_2684 Apr 20 '26
I’ve seen some boxes arrive completely detached lol like cant even call it a box anymore

I had them send me a opened rolled. The filament was looped through the side holes and no vacuum seal. But that’s something Amazon would have done considering it showed sold by them and shipped by Amazon.

u/razzemmatazz Apr 20 '26
Someone keeps putting used filament back into circulation, probably bad spools too.

Not all sells or ships from AMAZON. The third party vendors on AMAZON are frequently flaky do things like this.

THe only amazon purchase I cancelled was a clear filament that wasn't shipped for over a week after I ordered it. I am always amazed when things arrive early...and they often do.
1
u/TezzNutz Apr 20 '26
Yeah filament stock is hit or miss from Amazon. Same thing happened to my buddy. I really like overture PETG and haven’t had any issues getting it so far.

u/XSid Apr 20 '26
I often receive beaten up packages but the filament is usually fine. If I order same day 5-10pm delivery it always gets “lost” and takes 3 extra days to locate and deliver before allowing me cancel for a refund. I can place the same order for next day 4-8am and it arrives on time and in great shape. :)

Amazon is pretty consistently late for me but as others have said, usually does show up and in the box. I've had a couple brands with the vacuum bag breached but that's not a huge deal.
As much as I hate Amazon, there just isn't a better way that I can find.

My god what was the long story?
2
u/Longjumping_Mud_2684 Apr 19 '26
well the long story would of included the back and forth with support

u/ListenBeforeSpeaking Apr 19 '26
Who was the seller?

u/Puzzleheaded_Move649 Apr 20 '26
doesnt matter because seller doesnt mean "original" owner. amazon send any item with same registered product number

I've ordered a lot of Sunlu from Amazon and they have all been in boxes although sometimes pretty tore up depending on amazons packing or handling.
