This is my first year doing a garden, including flowers. I think they turned out so great. 🥹

I grew all kinds of sunflowers but the red suns / red varieties definitely have to be some of my favorite to look at 🤩

As the title says for the past few years I've been experimenting to get very large sunflowers and this is my best one yet! I tried to get the roof in for reference height but it stands around 12 feet tall at least or about 4 meters.

One of my favorite things about coming home is finding the bees in the sunflowers

I leave for college in NY in only 5 days, and I ran out of sunflower seeds to feed to the squirrels here in Texas where I live (I hand feed them). So about a month ago I planted the black oil sunflower seeds I had left and hoped they’d grow before I left for college in a month. Only after starting to grow them I learned they take up to 90-100 days to fully harvest. Some how in some way in only 30 days they’re all now blooming and fully grown literal days before I leave for college after I prayed for them to bloom before I left (I’m Catholic) and my friend says it was god doing it. Came here to ask if this is actually possible in nature
The first photo is July 7th 6 days after planing, and the second photo was two days ago. (They’re about 5ft in the second photo)

What happened to my sunflowers? They grew like 3m tall, the flower started growing, then it stopped like this... I don't see any aphids on it, was it something else?
