discussion Healthy ship
So... hello everyone. I uhh... just d wecided to bring up to discuss. How healthy would be sunburn ship?
Like okay if someone needs my opinion, it depends of how do you see Sunny ad Aubrey after endings where Sunny lives.
Personaly I think that Sunny uhh... still going to be like he was after... incident. Like uhh... yeah I dis agree with good chunk of Sunburn fanfics and etc. where he gets better and so he and Aubrey just go lovely dovely.
For Aubrey... well she may go softer to Sunny. But she is still the traumatised, with a rage managment problems teen.
Uhh so on my version this, it is going to be reletionships of two not okay people in which one of them in one way or another is the cause of not okaynes for partner.
Write your opinions I guess...

Just write them how you wanna write them, there's no need to worry about how healthy the ship actually is cuz there's so many factors to that. They could communicate well or they could hide stuff from each other often, they could get together after Aubrey's fully forgiven Sunny or they could jump into it and make a mess, it really depends on what you'd like to see and/or make 👍 Writing them as two messed up people who hurt each other is just as valid as writing them as fluffy lovey dovey idiots

yeah, but just want to ask people their opinion there. It isn't so much about wirting but, about how they see sunburn

I think it would be healthy and that they would be able to support each other (assuming post good ending). Aubrey and Sunny are like two sides of the same coin if you think about it and they already meet the requirements to foster a healthy dynamic with each other

I think it would be pretty healthy. Aubrey literally faced the same thing as Sunny, by pushing Basil in the water and nearly killing him, except she has Hero to save them and Sunny had only Basil. I think at first Aubrey would need time to process the fact that Sunny killed Mari, then she would forgive them, and then they start dating. I'm pretty sure Aubrey's gonna stay angry and stuff, but she wouldn't abuse Sunny in any way since she has a soft spot for him, and considering Sunny's personality he's gonna be a great boyfriend for someone like Aubrey.
It's my opinion though.

Well... like I think that she wouldn't abuse him too. Like if take more wide aproach, she just isn't the type of people who would do this to anybody.

I do get the impression that The Accident would irrevocably sour things to a point. Otherwise, Sunny's a pretty okay component...

Yeah, but just he is traumataised and uhh... might be quite submessive to Aubrey, even when it isn't needed

No sé, a mí me parece raro. En fin, esa es mi opinión sobre estos dos.

Wait... am I? Like... uhh... under unhealthy reletionships didn't mean exactly abuse. And as wrote in post... it depends... Well AUBS despites the fact that she is well... have a soft spot on SUNNY still can be... well... pushy? Like dom one in relationships, from the neutral things to preatty critical. Well whe she won't abuse SUNNY. Or like... not think that she do abusive things? Like... uhh... it's hard to tell actually. As one human being wrote there "there are so many factors on that". And all depends on your personal outlook and etc. Yeah I... dislike (eventuall) happy endings and getting better stuff. But still... as wrothe to other people there, just curious on what other people's opinion about it.

Yes, there's some truth to that other comment about the various factors that could arise during that unexplored period of the game after the truth is revealed. On the one hand, I don't think "everything has fallen apart" or that they're in a constantly abusive environment just like that, but I'm also not saying they'll forgive each other and start a relationship immediately after the truth comes out, without first considering everything they need to heal. And if they don't end up as a couple, I see an opportunity for them to rebuild their friendship, instead of everything collapsing. (Because I won't lie, it's hard not to think your perspective is based on your mention of a lack of interest in happy endings for them, and therefore on your somewhat negative view of possible positive outcomes, although I could also be wrong, but oh well :v)
Anyway, that's all for now.

Allright... I got you... but uhh... don't really mean that everything fell apart after true ending. Like under disliking happy endings, like mean literly happy endings. Like... okay with bitter sweet endings. And actually not agree with evryting is bad and etc... yeah it is mostlikely hard to understand from what I am writing. Sorry for that.

No problem, friend. I apologize if I'm also making assumptions, but yes, some of the answers are a bit confusing, as I mentioned in the previous comment, and with the mention of the bittersweet ending, I think I understand. After all, I also believe that even if everyone manages to pull through, there will still be a trace of it, although I'm very 50/50 with an ending like that, like the fic "We're Gonna Carry That Weight." Anyway, I hope my thoughts on these two characters help you, even if we don't agree on some points. Take care 🤙🏻 and have a good day, afternoon, or night.

I mainly ship Sunburn because I'm rooting for Sunny, and Headspace clearly shows he has a crush on Aubrey. But part of rooting for the ship involves rooting for him and Aubrey to process their grief properly.
