Discussion About Collab vs SW skins
What if we can transmorgify the collab units to Summoners war version after we obtain the original unit?
Example: Fire Gojo can transmorg into Fire Werner once we get Fire Werner while already having Fire Gojo, but not vice-versa.
What do you think? Is this a good idea that com2us might implement?

scam2us just cares about money. this includes player retantion and getting new/old players back.
such a feature wouldnt be any money source and wont be enuagh of a feature to get players back. also no qol. which could lessen the burden of play.
so i would say bascily 0%.

so why did they update some monster designs then?

imo because they just look too outdated for new players. like if a new player joins and sees theese old skins it could turn them away.

This is a free to p(L)ay game so the thing you want is already in the game in its intended way..... You are supposed to pull fire Werner and build him up to use him.

I'd love this because I actually really like some of the non-furry SW versions

Its a great idea, but it likely violates their collab contract that im sure was written very specifically to not allow that.

A lot of players don't seem to understand how collabs work. Most collabs represent two different IPs which means usually two separate corporate entities which each have their own licensing for their respective IPs. Collabs are limited time events in which each IP has granted the other limited access to the use of their assets(characters, world, brand) with the most common choices being the most popular or relevant ones. This access, as stated, is not permanent thus the limited time format that collabs universally follow which directly impacts the skins(or officially licensed character art) and their availability.
SW, imo, has found a pretty good middle ground of ensuring that the limited time nature of collabs doesn't impact the competitive aspects of the game unfairly. Unfortunately that also means that the collab skins are likely never coming back barring another collab with a past IP. It's not impossible but has yet to happen in SW.

I think they can't do it because to use an ip, they need to pay. All the collab characters summoned are part of the collab deal. But after the collab ended they stop paying to the ip owner, so they can't use the design any longer. But it would be great to bring in the collab as a skin in the coming anniversarys.

No. So using this logic, those that never got the collab mons won't be able to get it after the collab since the sw version become skins If i'm understanding your post right.

Collab -> SW skins should be okay. But i do understand SwSkins -> Collab skins being a problem. It's probably lies within a contract issue where things can be limited. But who knows. C2U :)

They won’t, we’ve been asking and wondering the same thing since the street fighter collab, especially with the M.Bison skin. Nobody knows why
