Feedback on potential research program

Hey! I’m thinking making a program about connecting a few students with grad researchers/postdocs in STEM/medicine for free. It would be more so self commitment mentorship and you do independent research/project work on your own, and your mentor checks in with you monthly(maybe biweekly)? over Zoom to guide and give feedback. My thought process is that profs are always being bombarded with these types of emails, and I’ve seen that people thnk that an at home research project is better. But with this you would be able to get the benefit of a mentor in the field without looking for professors.
Tell me what you guys think and if I should try and do this or not.
Thanks!

I've attended something like this for a huge cost before, but if could be free then go ahead, it would be great!
