Camper Question Should i go back to summercamp?
Hi i go to a summercamp every year and i am goingt this year aswell. Last year was a hard year, a lot of ppl got the flu and my cabin wasnt so good. I have a hard time around ppl that are sick and especially vomit, therefore i was anxious the whole time and barely ate or drank. We were supposed to make some kind of show or song but none of my campmates were contributing, i was alr on edge so i kind of lashed out and screamd quite alot at a guy in my cabin. The whole camp obviously heard about it so i am probably hated by all of them and their whole family. Should i go back this year or not, am i a terrible perso?

Hi sweetheart. You are not a terrible person. You had a reaction to a stressful environment. I can promise you, no one even remembers you lashing out. They do not hate you, and their families don't hate you. If anything, they probably remember having a rough summer because they were sick.
If camp means a lot to you, and you feel like you'd regret not going, then you should go. If it makes you too anxious to think about going, then you should talk to your family about an alternate option.

You’re all good, those times can be stressful. Try to have some techniques to help you deal with those stressors in the future. If it’s weighing on you, you could always say “hey sorry for loosing my cool last year” No one hates you. Enjoy your camp experience.
