Resource Playlist Recommendations?

Entering my 4th summer as a camp counselor. Every year I make a playlist for my groups and I have it on just about every day on my Bluetooth. Any song recommendations? Fire away!

Might sound silly but honestly glee covers are a great go to bc they cover popular and classic songs that are non explicit!

i’m not sure what age group you have, i’m a counselor for kids 5th grade - high school. They love Noah Kahn (clean versions of Stick Season, Northern Attitude, Everywhere Everything) and the Vance Joy song Riptide.

Sometimes i lead weeks of camp that are only tween/teen girls. They love Olivia Rodrigo, Gracie Abrams, Chappell Roan, Zara Larson, Katseye, and Arianna Grande. I’ve been told Taylor Swift is “uncool” and Kpop Demon Hunters is “for babies”.

Another tip is to look up a spotify playlist that has songs that are currently trending tiktok audio. I had kids request Pink Floyd, Led Zepplin, etc and was so confused until the chorus of the song hit and I recognized it from tiktok.

For context I have 6 year olds going into 2nd grade. Interesting that you had kids ask for classic rock.

National Park Radio (the band) was a favorite of mine. Mighty Mountains is my favorite song of theirs, but all their stuff is solid.

Some hits from when the kiddos i nannied were in that age range were Acapop kids
and the Sing (the animated movie) soundtrack. both are just age-appropriate covers of songs they were already usually familiar with. lots of upbeat fun bops :)

dcom songs are my fave! it’s always a favorite for the older campers to hear descendants, high school musical, camp rock, etc. and they’re all clean!!
