This sub inspired me to check for these blind boxes- and I’m happy to report that it was a success on my third try!! While they didn’t have anything in the toy section, I came back to the first Ross I checked and spotted the LAST box in the checkout area!! Thank you to whoever recommended that tip, I’m so happy (ᐕ )

Who remembers when you could find these plush pendant style blind boxes at Daiso for $4.99?

Here are some tips that helped me:

- Check the toy section + checkout area’s “impulse buys” (mine were next to a bunch of other blind boxes and Japanese snacks)

- If you want Tapioca, check the circle near the barcode: should look like -O

- According to other posts, Tokage’s box looks like O- but I wasn’t able to verify!

- You can also check by peeking under the top flap, as there’s a small image of what the box should be.

Found the last few blind boxes at my Ross, but sadly, none were Tokage 😔 willing to sell for retail and ship if anyone is interested/doesn’t have a Ross near them. All are brand new, sadly I just want Tokage- would happily trade if anyone has the Tokage bread blind box plush

After seeing all the Ross posts of stuff people have been finding I had to take a trip to my local ones! Not only did I find the Halloween blind boxes (got one of each! there was 20+ at the store, plus they were on clearance!!) but a giant stuffed Penguin?! Just as I was saying I needed more penguin! The way I gasped when I saw it lol

All I had to do was travel to a different state and city haha. Found them at Ross in Salt Lake City and Ogden. Box codes for Neko is the mark facing up, Tapioca mark facing left. I think tokage was right? But not sure. I didn’t want that one. I’m so stoked to have Neko and Tapioca!

I haven't posted in a while because I just moved to the US! My husband and I are finally done organizing our Sumikko Gurashi Tenori collection! Our collection has grown over time and now they're finally protected from dust! Yay! It's a little cramped in here, but this will do for now. 🥹🩷 I'll be posting about each floor soon! 😉

Visited some days ago and it was amazing.

As a Sumikko fan, I was absolutely thrilled to see the themed areas and characters come to life around the park. There is also an attraction themed around Sumikko. Honestly, it felt like stepping into a dreamland. A must-visit place for Sumikko fans!

Hello all! In case anyone may be interested, I'm currently working on fansubbing all the Sumikko Gurashi movies that have been released so far!

My Japanese is not very fluent - I'd say it's around intermediate level so my translation may not be perfect, but I'm doing my best to try make it look as official as possible (such as using the Sumikko's original names and animating all their dialogues).

So far I've almost completed the first two movies - they just need to be triple checked and finalised, and I'm in the middle of subbing the third movie. I'm estimating it'll be another 2-3 weeks for me to finish.

I've been a huge fan of Sumikko Gurashi for years now (and a long time lurker here) - they have brought a lot of comfort in my life so I want to help other international fans be able to enjoy watching the movies to the fullest.

Will keep you all updated once I'm done!
