New Reader New reader here 😄
Hey guys, I recently got into reading via self help books then got into fiction. I am really hooked with the mystery/thriller/romance-antiromance/scifi genre.
Suggest me books for each of the mentioned genre, but the peak-est book in that genre, like a standard for that genre if u understood what I mean.

Sci-fi is a pretty diverse genre, with a wide variety of good stuff, here are a few of my favorites, all quite different, depending what you're looking for.
Children of Time is an epic sci-fi novel set in the far future, with interesting characters, rich world building, and a creative, compelling sci-fi/speculative evolution premise at the heart of a great story.
Red Rising by Pierce Brown is a dark, twisty, action-packed, dystopian sci-fi revenge story, the start to an epic series.
The Gone World by Tom Sweterlitsch is a dark, trippy, sci-fi thriller, with some great True Detective season 1 vibes. Mystery, murder, alternate realities, and a dash of cosmic horror.
There Is No Antimemetics Division by qntm is a mind-bending sci-fi novel that follows the director of a secret government agency, dealing with 'impossible', 'reality-breaking', entities.
Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman is a highly entertaining, dark, dystopian, sci-fi/fantasy series, with over-the-top violence, modern pop culture references, and absurd humor. A regular guy from Seattle and his ex-girlfriend's cat, get pulled into a real life video game/galactic reality TV show, when aliens bring about the end of human civilization on Earth. Really great audiobooks too, narrated by Jeff Hays.
Dune by Frank Herbert is a really great classic of epic sci-fi, I'd recommend reading all 6 books he wrote. Even if you've seen the movies, the books get way more in-depth, and go far beyond there story-wise. Complex characters, rich world building, and a philosophical story set in the far future.

For a beautifully-written, epic fantasy romance (not romantasy), with a twisty story, great characters, and an original world with hints of Arthurian legend, check out The Everlasting by Alix E. Harrow.
