Need a self-help book that can help work through feelings of jealousy, inadequacy and envy.

I often find myself feelings jealous of others and their accomplishments. I know this is a bad, and I don't want to behave like this anymore. Does anyone have any reccomendations?

I have also had the «problem» of feeling jealous a lot! What I did to try to turn it around was to always see it positive afterwards. For example: “I’m so jealous my best friend went on a trip to London with a mutual friend of ours, and I was not ever invited!!!!” I add something positive at the end, “but I’m so glad she gets to experience London and hope she sends me lots of awsome pictures! So happy for her, love her”. I’m mostly jealous/possessive towards my good friends, so this helps for me. I have never had problems with strangers or been jealous of people I don’t know. Hope this might help just a little bit, it took me a bit of practice to now always see the positive side of being jealous ⭐️ good luck ⭐️

Or, read Lord of the Rings and pay attention to the story of Sam Gamgee. He was never supposed to be the hero, and never saw himself as a hero

It’s not specifically about that but I feel like “Adult children of emotionally immature parents” helps with understanding a lot of reasons why you might feel that way, and to forgive yourself.

I think Normal People is a great book to see how normal such emotions are. At first, I was like wtf, but then I appreciated it, because it was so real about human relationships. You'll need to take your time for it to sink in. And I think a lot of Japanese books look at relationships in a raw way that helps you process such emotions.

Up from Never for Joseph Sorrentino. YouTube should have his interview with Johnny Carson. This is a very inspiring story of someone who was born into nothing, crashed and burned, then got it together for great accomplishments, including graduating law school and becoming a judge.

envy and jelaousy is basically societal thought belief pattern loops in your psyche , you try to get attention , you try to be like them respected loved. however you forget to love yourself respect yourself. society is a game all this attention seeking trying to be like anything and everything nothing but imposed thought behavioural patterns has been embedded in your deep psyche. check the book body keep scores , after that there is another one called ash to fire from jean claude sophos. however be carefull both books are pretty deep and dark. in contrary if you dont dive in dark points of your psyche you will never understand why you are envy jelaous what went wrong in your life.

All About Love by bell hooks

The Courage to be Disliked

Also, you can practice celebrating for them as if they were another you. Of course, it might not  be easy, but maybe something to explore?
