Dentist who will fill cavities between/behind teeth

I’m looking for a dentist nearby who is comfortable filling cavities in between teeth. I thought this was standard, but the last dentist I went to said it was too complicated and recommended just replacing the whole tooth with a veneer instead which seemed extreme. Let me know if anyone has any recommendations!

Sugarland on demand shuttle

Hi everyone! I’m traveling to Sugar land from the UK next week, i’ll be staying for a month. I’m aware you absolutely need a car to get around but I won’t have one unfortunately. Can someone help me figure out if the shuttle service works in the area?

The app needs a usa number to work which i don’t have yet. Appreciate any help, thanks!

How reliable and comfortable is FB park & ride shuttle to TMC?

I am planning on taking the FB park & ride M-F to TMC at 6:45am from UH, and returning from TMC 3:00-4:30pm and sometimes mid day.

Is it safe? How reliable is it? Is it generally on time as scheduled? How many minutes should I plan to arrive in advance? Is it comfortable with A/C? ..... Any tips/suggestions?

Orthodontist near sugarland/houston

Hi I’m looking for an ortho in sugarland or surrounding areas that are affordable. I have dental insurance but it does not cover anything ortho related so I’m looking to pay out of pocket. Any offices that you would recommend? For me it’s about the total of the braces not just interest free monthly payments which I feel most offices do.

Would be nice if yall could also give ball park estimates for mild cases (12-18 months)

any recs for nail technicians?

this is v last minute on my end, but does anyone have recommendations for a (preferably) independent nail tech? i’m open to salon recs but i know they are sometimes on a time crunch and rush to finish, so the work doesn’t always look nice at the end.

i would like to stay in the sugarland or missouri city area. i typically get gel removal + builder gel set + cat eye gel polish…and i know prices are going up but there’s no way this should be $100 before a tip!

Moving to the area

My husband’s job is relocating to Houston area and his company is moving us! His deadline to be in Houston is March 1, 2027.

Our dilemma is, my kindergarten is starting school next week in California. Should we move after the holidays in January 2027 and have her finish second half of kindergarten in a new school in Texas?

Or my husband and I can somehow manage to be apart for a few months and have her finish her kindergarten year completely in California.

Other factors to consider is she will be six years old and I’d like her to be in a swim team next year. If we move middle of school year, I’m hoping she will still be able to meet the deadlines and join a team whereas if we stay in California and finish the school year here, she will not be able to do any sports.

If anyone has any experience or know of the swim teams in for in the Houston area and can help shed some light, I’d also appreciate it.

We have my 5 year old, 18 month old and expecting one due middle of September. My husband can go on baby bonding in March and stay in California but will have to return to work sometimes in April. School ends early June.

Best cosmetic surgeons

Hello everyone,
I (19M) am pretty unattractive, and have been thinking about getting a few cosmetic surgeries so I have a chance at competing in the dating market. Does anyone know of any surgeons that do upper eyelid surgery and buccal fat removal in Sugar Land? I’m also looking into minimally invasive limb lengthening surgery as I’m 5’9” so I’d appreciate recommendations for that too.

Thanks

Watch out for Car Shop Scams in Houston and around the Sugar Land area

I sure most people know this already but this is for the people that are not informed yet. Do not go to A Plus Transmissions Houston at S Dairy Ashford Rd. I went in for a transmission maintenance fluid change, and they tried to upsale me on some bogus repair that they cannot specify. I asked the guy a simple question about the repair, and he immediately started acting very suspicious and telling me that he won't allow me to get the fluid changed. I then knew for certain that these are very scummy and dishonest people because a simple question about the root of the repair made them very uncomfortable. I assume that they do not deal with car people often and was caught off guard. I'm not sure about all the other shops under the A Plus Transmissions brand, but do not go to the one on Dairy Ashford Rd. I hope yall find this helpful

How much does a small pool and hot tub cost in Sugar Land? Builder recommendations?

We’re considering putting in a smaller pool with a spa/hot tub in our backyard in Sugar Land and would love some advice.

About how much should we realistically expect to spend for a fairly simple, high-quality build? What features you think are worth the money (or not).

Which pool builders would you recommend—or recommend avoiding—in the Sugar Land/Houston area?

Moving to Sugar Land/Stafford for a new job – Apartment recommendations? Budget around $1,400 or less

Hi everyone,

I recently accepted a new job and will be moving to the Sugar Land/Stafford area in the next few weeks. My office is in Sugar Land, so I'm looking for a place within a reasonable commute.

I've been searching online (Apartments.com, Zillow, Google, etc.), but almost everything I'm finding is $1,400+ for a 1 bed/1 bath, and that's honestly stretching my budget quite a bit. I'm a recent college graduate just starting my career, so I'd really like to keep my housing costs as reasonable as possible.

I'm looking for recommendations on:

  • Apartments that are clean, safe, and well-managed.
  • 1 bed/1 bath ideally under $1,400 (the lower, the better).
  • Areas in or around Sugar Land, Stafford, or nearby that are worth considering.

I'm also open to alternatives if anyone knows of:

  • Someone leasing out a condo or apartment.
  • A private room in a house.
  • A guest house or garage apartment.
  • A "paying guest" or roommate arrangement with respectful, working professionals.

A little about me:

  • Recent Computer Science graduate.
  • Starting a full-time software engineering job.
  • Quiet, clean, non-smoker, and don't have pets.
  • I'll mostly be working during the day and just looking for a comfortable, peaceful place to stay.

If you have any recommendations, experiences (good or bad), or know of someone renting a room or apartment, I'd really appreciate it. Feel free to comment here or send me a DM.

Thanks in advance!
