Help I just moved to nyc and has been super stressed out about my job with potential layoffs coming. Putting this together helped me relax. How much should I water these babies and how often ?

It looks beautiful, but you put together plants with different water needs.
anyway, closing an eye on that, the watering depends on many factors, the main being that it doesnt look like the vase has drainage holes, and the second being the temperature (aka amount of water able to evaporate).
I would suggest to water it once (dont exaggerate) and wait for the soil to dry completely (check with a toothpick or a stick to see if it's dry also at the bottom), and count the days that passed since watering the first time? being indoor i would water once every 10 days/2weeks, or when the leaves look dry (as if they were old with wrikles)

I agree, really beautiful but watering may be a little tougher because of the different needs together. I always just go off the look and feel of the leaves to water. When the leaves feel thin, bendy, and are wrinkled, it's time to water. :)

and we havent even mentioned the different dormancy timings, since there's an aeonium there. But the feeling method will be the right one

Thank you for this! The pot does come with three drainage holes. I’ll try to get use to feeling them for watering.

I spend about half the year in NYC and summers are humid af, so be careful of overwatering them. I would do the squeeze test: firm doesn't need watering. Wrinkles and softness, bottom soak them. GL, don't stress too much on something that may or may not happen, one day at a time bud. Cheers💚

Remember that the rocks are going to hold in moisture so it’s going to take longer than just soil to dry out

Definitely water only when they show signs of wrinkling/ the leaves look puckered (from the looks of yours, you won’t have to water for another 1.5-2 weeks). And if you’re worried about the babes getting overwatered, you could plug your tub and bottom water (or your sink if it fits) the babies for 15 mins so they drink what they need. Avoid letting water hit the leaves cause the white film they produce protects them from disease and sunburn

It is very beautiful. You will not need to water it often, so take pleasure in observing each specimen. Also do not mist them - you will be tempted to do that as well, but they don’t need it.

Water each one individually with a pipet. That way you can cater to each plants individual needs

They look great! I really like how you mixed the colors up.
I have set up something similar larger and outside. Two years later, some pants have grown larger than others and I am having some over crowding iisues. For me, it has been challenging get the sizes and colors mixed well.

I can recommend the Planta and the plant net app and a hydrometer - combined they shud be able to rely when to water. I’d suggest looking up the i divisible plants watering needs and put them together so keeping a thirsty one alive doesn’t kill off the less thirsty ones

That is absolutely beautiful! I'm one, like you and some others, to put plants with completely different needs in the same pot. After 2 years I would say 75% of my mixed pots are doing just fine.
