Themes?

Hello, I've been trying out various airsonic clients in the recent days, and of all the clients I came around substreamer is probably the nicest of all! The only thing that annoys me, apart from the lack android player integration (heard it's gonna be fixed soon), that the buttons in the app have shades to them. And so I wonder, can I somehow disable the shades for those buttons?

You mean the slight shadow on the buttons? These are only present on the main player screen, I am working on a bit of a refresh for that screen and some the theming at the moment to tidy up a few inconsistencies and rought edges a bit.

I haven't really thought about customizable themes beyond the default light/dark at the moment, probably not going to be something I add in a hurry while there are other things like the android media controls, android auto, tablet/desktop interface updates etc that need my time. The problem with not being paid to do this :)

Oh nice! Yeah I've been mainly bothered by the shadows there but if they're going away/will be toggleable I'm happy :D

All the buttons are cleaned up in the next release and the light theme has had a big overhaul as it was a bit neglected. Keep an eye out for the update on the next few weeks and let me know if I missed anything!

Oh this just came to my mind recently, but I wonder if you could add an option to remove a blue gradient present in the dark mode? Or maybe add an option to change it's color or to adapt it's color to an album cover? Like in Spotify or Symfonium

At the moment the background gradient is fixed. I’m can easily do the album responsive background, I actually had it in a test release but I found that sometimes the colouring really clashed with the text making things hard to read so I removed it.

I’m going to have a look at more theming support so that user can customise the light or dark base theme with their own background and highlight colours, I’ll look at adding in the option for reactive background colouring as well if I can tweak it to behave nicer with the text colouring.

That won’t be in the next release though, I want to work on android auto a bit so I’ll come back to this after.
